Vintage ALLIED KNIGHT KG-660 RADIO METER 12V POWER SUPPLY VARIABLE ASSEMBLED KIT
Here is a Vintage ALLIED RADIO CO. KNIGHT MODEL KG-660 12Vdc POWER SUPPLY WITH METERS. From what I can figure this was one of the Knight Kit pieces of test gear you could buy back in the 1950s/60s as an unassembled kit and would build with help of an assembly manual it would have originally had. It appears to have been assembled fairly well. The builder left out the 6/12v switch but the control on the front will change the dc output voltage from about zero to almost 20 VDC. We did power it up and hooked it up to a DMM and read voltages that changed from 0-20 vdc(may not go as high with a load attached) and the meters do move so it does appear to be working. But I would not guarantee how stable it changed voltages as the controls and switches all need some electrical cleaning and repairs as they are all very touchy so you'll need to work ... moreon it a little before you can use it, as ususal for a piece of electronics this old but at least it is NOT DOA! Item shows wear and probably was used a lot over the years but still looks like they did take pretty good care of it, being offered as you see it and as we found it.
