Vintage Superior electric power stat variac in good working condition USED
I have for auction this vintage power state. It has the initials SE. And I believe it is superior electric. There isn't a lot of information printed or stamped on this item. I took pictures from all sides. There is a patent sticker on the side indicating roughly the age being around 1970 +. It is in working condition. I tested it on a lamp and on my stereo. The exterior isn't in too bad of condition. There are some scratches dents and dings. The electric cord has a split in the outer casing; but none of the internal wires are exposed. So no fear of shorts or shocks. If you need one here is a decent one at a fraction of the going rate. Please see pictures for condition. ask questions and any information will be appreciated. Vintage Variac General Radio Power Suppy Type 200 B Working Not Tested AC DC
Hi I found this really cool vintage Variac General Radio Type 200 B and thought it was cool based on its design. I am not an electronics guy in any way but did a preliminary test of the unit. When plugged in and turned on the cool light glows red. The Meter has a selector knob that read 0-15 volts. I set the unit on DC and the switch to 15 volts and the meter went up and down as I swept up and down the dial. When the knob was on 10 volts the meter was showing 12. I left it running about 15 minutes and it was still going fine. I did not power anything up through it. The case is nice with a laminated side and stainless casing. All the screws are flush and look original. The main power chord is in good shape. It has some output cables that seem a bit worn. They are included.
