Carl Sorensen Bronze Trumpet Vases, Antique, in top condition
The trumpet vase was one of Sorensen's favorite forms. He had many variations you could buy depending on your pocketbook. This pair is one of the more rare forms that I've come across. Rather than the banding being showing on one surface these vases have six"levels" with seven bands of brass highlighted. You can see how the bands on the lower part step down to the next level. There are no dents or dings and the original verdigris patina is in great condition. Depending on the lighting these can look green or can look more turquoise. These were bought together from the same estate. It's rare to find a pair of these that have stayed together for so many years. They are 6 5/16" tall. The base is 3 1/16 wide flaring up to 7" wide the mouth. I should note that the inside of one of the vases is dirtier/darker. I ... moredidn't want to go beyond a light cleaning with water.

This is a beautiful pair of antique sterling silver sugar tongs that are made by W& S Sorensen of Denmark. These tongs are marked as stated and also stamped sterling. I have had these tongs in my family for well over 60 years and they are still in very good condition. They measures approximately4” L x 2 ¼” W and are in good working order. The tongs could probably use a polishing but as with all my vintage silver I leave that up to the purchaser to do so. Carl Sorensen Rare Pair of Bronze Trumpet Vases, Art Deco, Arts and Crafts
RARE PAIR Final Price Reduction The trumpet vase was one of Sorensen's favorite forms. He had many variations available depending on your pocketbook. This pair is one of the more rare forms that I've come across. Rather than the bronze banding being two-dimensional as most of these vases are. These are three-dimensional with six"levels" showing seven bands of highlighted brass. You can see how the bands on the lower part step down to the next level. This creates more shadows which makes for a more striking image. Depending on the lighting these will show more green or can look more blue like turquoise. These were bought together from the same estate. It's very rare to find a pair of these that have stayed together for so many years. There are no dents or dings and the original verdigris patina is in great condition. ... moreThey stand 6 5/16" tall. The base is 3 1/16 wide flaring to 7" wide the mouth. I should note that the inside of one of the vases is more dark like it was in contact with soil.

MidCentury Sorensen Large Hand Carved Monkey Pod Leaf Bowl or Tray
Christian Sorensen. The late renown Hawaiian artist, created this leaf shaped bowl/tray. It is golden brown with beautiful darker bands running through it. Its nice soft sheen begs you to reach out and run your hands over the wood. The rich texture on the back shows the artist’s delicate carving techniques as well as his name"Sorensen" Hawaii, Monkey pod in small letters. It is approximately 13.75” x 15” with a top steam and agraceful point at the bottom. This tray was loving used by my mother-in-law so there are some light scratches on the right hand side and normal age wear on the back. Carl Sorensen Lidded Copper Bowl with Rooster Finial
Here's an unusual find from the Arts and Crafts Movement in the early 1900s. This neat lidded copper bowl with a rooster finial and verdigris finish was produced by Carl Sorensen and bears his signature and CS mark on the bottom. Sorensen was well known in the Philadelphia. PA, area during the Arts and Crafts Movement producing beautiful items in copper and bronze. In later years, he worked for Louis Comfort Tiffany in the Tiffany Studios. Reseach by Alley Cat Lane collectibles. This piece like my other piece is in light to very moderately used condition. This bowl is a hard to find piece by Mr. Sorensen as well.
