This is a Sony programmable audio timer. And it's about 30 years old. It's from an era when not every component had a clock built in, and so this is essentially an audio-grade timer that you can program to provide AC power to two switched outlets. This allows you to turn on certain outlets at whatever time of day you like. I know what you're thinking- this is the same thing I can buy at Walmart for $4.99, right? Well, functionally, yes. However, this is designed for audio equipment and therefore the power it gives is much cleaner, and the component is designed to blend in with a rack mounted system. Needless to say, most mid-range enthusiast gear does not have built-in clocks and such, and this component allows that functionality. This has not been used since Michael Jackson's Bad album, and it's been in storage ever since.

All the buttons and labeling are clear and legible. The display is also clear and unscratched. Please refer to the pictures provided below for more details on the condition of the item. We tested this unit with a Tektronix TM 5003 case(NOT included) We powered it on and tested different settings with a digital multimeter on both the dual tracking mode and the logic mode. The logic mode would always give the correct reading on the multimeter. However the dual tracking mode would give very odd readings. The negative side if set to 5 volts would read an average of about 13 volts on the multimeter. And the positive would read about 0.6 on average.
