When first turned on you can hear it initializing, I think it reset to 750nm. In addition I was able to initiate a scan(according to the display it goes down below 200nm but each time I ran it down I was briefly distracted and didn’t see how low it went. And when it gets there it starts to move back up very quickly) and you can see that both the deuterium and tungsten lamps come on. And if you open the sample compartment the display reacts to the additional light. So no doubt the PMT is still functional. Beyond that it is untested. Sold as is, and NO warranty is offered.
