DCS 972 Digital to Digital Converter / Elgar Digital to Analog Converter
We are selling a fantastic combination of the DCS 972 professional Digital to Digital converter and the Elgar Digital to Analog Converter. These originally sold for $14.000. The Elgar DAC does not have firewire and so cannot be upgraded to the Elgar Plus. Our tech has gone over it and it works 100% and sound great. The unit has some marks on the top but overall looks clean. It will come with the original box. Manual, and remote. The 972 DDC will resample your digital audio to many different bit and sample rates with many adjustment for dithering etc. It work as it should. Cosmetics are not great. Some marks on the top. Nicks on the top front panel and the front label is peeling a bit at one corner. The LCD display is not backlit(this is correct as from the factory) It will come with the original box and manual. No remote was ever made for ... morethis unit. You will need dual AES-EBU digital cables to connect these units to each other. The combination allows you to upsample your CD or other digital outputs to 24 bit 192 khz. The Elgar will accept 24-192 native inputs only through dual AES-EBU so if you are going to use it with your computer you will need a board with these connections.
