The back of the unit is also quite bent up. One of the capacitors inside is loose, but still connected. We have tested this supply with an electronic load and found that it outputs 40 Votls with no trouble. Due to the limitations of our load tester. We are unable to test maximum amperage. In picture 8 you can see the up/down switch rubber cover is worn but i will have my husband go to the dealer and get a new one before shipping. These switches were part of the main electrical system of the Luftwaffe fighter/bomber. And were usually located on the starboard side console of most aircraft. This was to allow the pilot to turn on various electrical equipment, and also reset, incase any failures arose. Vintage U.S. Navy Battle Lantern AMPCO TYPE K – 10A
This is a vintage U.S. Navy Battle Lantern. You can see it is used and came off a ship. It has been repainted most likely by some junior enlisted sailor. This is the type of emergency lighting that was used on all Navy Ships until they converted to the yellow plastic ones used today. This is an AMPCO 9-S-5293-L Type K– 10A. I do not know the year it was manufactutred. You can see in the pictur it has the toggle switch with rubber cover to keep it waterproof. The cover is cracked and needs to be replaced. It has the plug in the bottom so it could be connected to the ships electrical system to keep it charged. No dents it is missing a few screws on the top has some surface rust on the bottom on the inside. You can tell this one spent some time on a ship.
