Up for auction is a vintage antique painted woodenware tool tote or box recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is found in good used condition and has a rod attached for easy transport. Primary color is orange, but there is several paint stains throughout, as well as losses to the paint. Please see the photos for details. It is quite sturdy and healed together with screws. This primitive box or tote measures approximately 19 3/8" x 8 1/4" x 9" in size. This piece may have been some kind of carry devise used in a Brewery or Malt house? Five(5) compartments. Old nail construction, scratches, and scuffs in wood, some wood splitting on the upright handle and two of the separating pieces common w/age but all solidly holding together, rough primitive look but very sturdy. Antique Primitive Chic Cottage Shabby Wooden Tool Plant Box Tote off my Grandparents Farm. My Grandparents married when she was 16 and he was 18. My Grandmother just passed away recently at the age of 96. So this is pretty old as my Grandpa made it for her shortly after they married and Gram always used it every year working in her large garden to carry her plant starters. Tools, and gloves. She refused to ever upgrade to something new. He pounded it back together several times as she refused to toss it out. It still works great, one side board is warped and could use some repair but other then that it's a nice old piece. Still has some northern Michigan dirt in it too. Now it is up for sale to the highest bidder.
