Genuine. Authentic, original War Feldpost Steiniger portrait postcard of Generaloberst Friedrich Fromm. Fromm was a highly decorated and high ranking German Army Troop Commander during WW2. During WW2. Fromm was Commander in Chief of the Army's Reserve Army, and had a Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg as his Chief of Staff. Stauffenberg was the genius behind the failed Plot to Assassinate the Fuhrer on July 20. 1944, and even though Fromm moved quickly to shoot Stauffenberg and others involved immediately after the Attempt, Fromm himself was arrested, tried before the Peoples Court, stripped of all ranks and awards, and shot by firing squad on March 12, 1945. The Ernst Steiniger Berlin Portrait Print postcard was issued in a series from the Wehrmacht Oberkommando des Heeres. And this postcard was filled out and signed by a Obergefreiter ... moreBrandt, and postmarked Feldpost October 17, 1941, the poor fella was probably slogging it out with the Russian Communists in the East) With complete Steiniger hallmarks on reverse. They have been distributedby all the major tool distributors in the USA- Gerrard, Acme, Signoed, Samuel,U-Line, etc. I have three of these tools total and they are allin perfect working condition. I have two that are used with 5/8" steelstrapping and one for 3/4" strapping. They all work with"0.015 up thru 0.023" steelbanding. 0.015 banding is consideredregular duty while strapping at the upper range is usually heavy duty. High tensilestrength banding. It works with all ofthem and no clips are required. The banding is fed into the machine. You tensionwith one handle and then seal with the other handle. These are amazing machines. With this tool. You can strap at a rate of about10 to 1 with someone using a regular tensioner ... moreand clip sealing tool. New cost is upwards of $900.
