This listing is for a flat face polished thunderegg/nodule from an unknown location(most likely Oregon) that features opal water level banding and a nice closed quartz pocket. The polished face shows white opal water level banding within translucent blue agate. The specimen has a very high quality polish. CRAZY LAGUNA LACE ROUGH SLAB DISPLAY CAB OUTSTANDING PARALLAX, BANDING & COLORS
Weight- 5 1/4 oz(149 grams) 5.75" x 3.65" x 7.4 mm(146.20 x 92.78 x 7.4 mm) Wow this is old crazy lace or laguna lace has it all with bulls-eyes. Colorful banding, fortification, LOTS of druzy pockets and super nice lacy patterns. AND top top all of that, it has wonderful parallax running through the banding which is almost like chatoyance but much scarcer. This is one heck of a slab. The blue tint you see does exist and is another wonderful attribute to this outstanding slab. I can only imagine the slabs that will come out of this baby! It has many different druzy pockets all over it. Some in the center of complete fortified banding. I cant say enough. Get it in hand as you will not regret this one. This has a thermal fracture that is a little open on the surface on one side as seen in the last picture top right. Then same side ... moreat the bottom center left a little open on one side as well. Then on the other side second to last picture top towards the left center its the same thing. Open on the surface one side only. I save any hose I come across and I am sure I have some hose that will slip on this to make a nice hand grip. Old Cast Iron Pottery Wheel Banding Lining Decorating Sculpture 8” Turntable
This is a vintage(early 1900’s? Drakenfeld cast iron pottery wheel turntable acquired from an estate. It stands 6 ¼” tall and the top plate is 8 1/8” in diameter. Very sturdy. Heavy weight piece that weighs almost 9 pounds. The center shaft rides on two roller bearings inside the column and one ball bearing on the shaft end. The piece turns smoothly and very easily and has no wobble. I gave it a hard spin and it ran turning for right over one minute! Has a nameplate on the base for the B.F. Drakenfeld& Co Inc at 45 Park Place New York NY. The piece has some surface rust and there is a small nick on the edge of the turntable that appears to be a manufacturing/casting error rather than damage/chip(I don’t think you can chip this thing! Ironstone was a type of pottery pioneered in Staffordshire. England in the mid-1800's. It got its name from its strength and durability, and this piece is no exception. It is in great shape despite its age. This 8-sided coffee pot stands 9" high at the top of the finial, and has a certain gravitas not found in fine porcelain. The pattern was called Grape Octagon, and it was made by numerous potters on the Staffordshire area. The pot's only markings are a small'S' incised in the bottom, probably for Staffordshire, and some tiny numbers, which may be 999 or 666.

It has a striking orange color. And interesting inclusions and banded patterns visible within the stone. Plus teeny tiny shimmery areas that become visible from different angles!
