RARE! RARE! MINT IN BOX! Up for auction is this very rare"Rex WigDig" lime colored spinning and casting lure made by the Weezel Bait Co. Cincinnati 26. Ohio. I believe that this is a very rare lure as I cannot find much info on it. I am not sure. But I believe this lure is from the late 1940's or early 1950's. This lure was found at an estate sale. The estate belonged to a man that was a sporting goods manager of a hardware store so I believe that is where he obtained his collection. It is in MINT unused condition with instructions and a hard hinged plastic case. It has beautiful color and looks like it was just made. I believe it is made out of wood. It is a lime colored lure. A nice vintage wood feathered fishing lure. Weezel Sparrow" which is in good condition considering it's age. It still has much of it's original feathers, has two sets of treble hooks which are rust free and has the name brand still quite legible in yellow lettering. Here is a lot of old fishing lures. Some of these old crankbaits or spoons are unknown fishing lures to me. Some of the old metal baits are marked as follows: Weezel Bait Co Rex Spoon. Lane's Flasher Wyoming, N. Y. Hawaiian( fred arbogast Hawaiian wiggler) and Pflueger Trade Mark U S A 2 Tandem Spinner. The fly rod size Gold color bait with the tail flasher is marked Joe Fish on it's side. Some of the old metal lures are unmarked. The tiny fly rod lure in Pink with the wings appears to be a cork fishing lure body but not sure? There are two odd shape metal baits with spinner blades on the ends that are unmarked. One of the vintage metal lures that is shapped like a fish has been painted on the front. These old crankbait lures came out of an old umco tackle box and pretty sure all are older baits.
