VINTAGE DOLL TOP SECRET LURE CRANKBAIT EX BEAUTY BAIT OLD ANTIQUE RARE
This is one beautiful bait. Early versions of this lure were mostly painted. If not made, by Heddon. Patented in 1968 by Mr. Elmer"Doll" Thompson, when placed on the market, demand far out paced production. Doll quickly enlisted the assistance of Heddon to produce this lure. The color code is TS 33 SS, which stood for Silver Shad, tho some called it Bar Shad. Hook cups signify lures made by Heddon. Apparently Heddon sold some unmarked as Doll Top Secret, as I have 1 in Bone White, in a Daisy/Heddon box, period correct. There are nearly a dozen differences in paint, lip. eye placement, and paint coverage amounts in the production by the 4 companies that sold or made this lure. Ships in the U.S. only. Here is a unfished old stock crankbait. Old Tennessee Minnow bait. This is a old doll top secret fishing lure and I think it's in the old heddon color but not sure. The old lure is sweet and about 2 3/4" long not counting the diving bill. This is not a wood lure. The old crankbait has the Cream and Black eyes. Pretty sure these are Tennessee made baits and had some information on the maker and mis-placed it.
