Lot of 5 Vintage fishing Lures/3 Pfluegers, 1 Marathon, & 1 Andy Reekers
I have up for auction 5 vintage fishing lures. Three are Pfluegers. One Limper 4 at 3 1/2" long, one Limper 1 at 2 1/2" long and an Oh Boy at 2" long. There is also a Marathon that is 3 5/8" long and an Andy Reekers at approximately 5" long. LOT OF 60 LURES BAIT TACKLE CRANKBAIT SPINNERS HEDDON ARBOGAST MARATHON HULA POP
The tackle up for sale was bought at a storage shed sale and were in a tackle box. However, I had to remove them from the tackle box because the box was damaged. Some of the tackle are wooden and some are plastic and some are mainly metal. Some of the names are present such as Heddon, Fred Arbogast, Jitterbug, Marathon, Zara Spook, Hula Pooper, Etc. Each lure/bait/tackle is in varying conditions that range from fair to good. The photos depict the actual condition of these items and they are all used lures/bait/tackle from a fishermans tackle box. I took high quality photos of these items to where you could see the condition easily. Some rust is present on the hooks, there is scratching and scuffs and chipped paint on some of the lures/bait/tackle. Some more so than with others. Vintage/ Antique. Metal Advertising Display for Marathon Action Tackle from Marathon Bait Co.Wausau, Wisconsin. Has many original lures included with the display. Measures 14 1/2" long by 11 3/4" wide. Good-to-fair condition with some paint wear at the outermost corners and edges and some minor scratches(please see images) No other damage or repair. Questions? Various old school vintage fishing lures. Spinners and shiners. First off i and not much of a fisherman so please excuse any ignorance on my part. Just trying to move through this stuff. Please ask any questions as needed and I will try to answer them best I can. I can provide additional pics if needed. Anyway, some of these look to be in need of some TLC but some look good. I would guess 50's to 60's vintage. 1.The wooden yellow lure is marked Heldon's, dowagiac on its tail. Hooks are intact. Some cracks and chips throughout. Eyes intact. 2.Metal shiner fish lure, has a loose shiner spinner on its hook. It's marked"2 FRED ARBOGAST AKRON, O. 3.Red Shaggy haired lure with dual shiners. Shiners are marked SHANNON 2 1\2. 4.Shiner spinner still attached to its original paperwork, shiner is marked with MARATHON. Paperwork ... moresays MARATHON June bug SPINNER. 5.COUPLE red haired lures look to be in good shape with one having peacock hair. 6.2 shiners red/silver marked"PFLUEGER FLUTED BAIT" on one side the other"BULLDOG QUALITY" 7.A yellow unmarked lure. Most Feathers there and some chips on main body. 8.Included also is a non marked old lure in this lot. It has some cracking and looks old but certainly not worthy of throwing away. Marathon Metal Spoon Fish Shaped Spinner Spinning Fishing Lures Tackle Box
You are bidding on a Marathon fish shaped spoon. It is marked. It is gold on the top and red head white body underneath. The condition is excellent. It is 1 1/2" not including the swivel. Included is a plastic snap box. This is how it was found in the tackle box. The box is in excellent condition. You should use the pictures to help determine the condition. Color and hardware. Lot 14 Vintage Fishing Lures Heddon Keeling Marathon Len Thompson Lazy ike Felml
This is a lot of 14 Vintage Fishing Lures. I am not an expert on these so I will try to describe them as best I can. I'm sure you will know which is which. There are 2 Feathered Spinners that are both marked Marathon. The single hook one has some rust on the hook. There are 2 Heddon Sonics one is a Firetail, they both have rust on the hooks. There is a little whit one with blue stripes that is marked Tank tested made in Finland, it has some stains on it. There is one missing half of its paint that is marked on the metal on the bottom Keeling Pat'd July 6 1920. There is a Red and White Popper that is unmarked that is dirty but otherwise pretty nice. There is a Lazy Ike with an eye on the side that has smudges and a couple of chips.There is a Heddon Tiny Torpedo that is pretty nice. Also a Heddon River Runt Spook Sinker that is missing ... moresome paint on top and each hook is missing one barb. There is a long hard rubber Felmlee's Fish that is pretty good. There is an unmarked Fish Faced Popper that is good except for a couple of paint chips.There is a Spoon that is marked Len Thompson No. 13 that is tarnished and has rusty hooks. And Last a Spoon that is marked 22 Sutton Co. Naples, N.Y. it has a little corrosion on the underside by the hook, it is in a nice box for a Johnson Spoon Silver Minnow No. 1310. I believe these are all wood or metal except the rubber one, the Spook, and the one from Finland, I think it is plastic. I hope I have described these well enough. Marathon Mudmino Vintage Fishing Lures Lot of 6
More treasures from my dad's tackle box. He fished in the 50's and 60's for pike and muskie. These spoon-type lures are labeled"Marathon Mudmino" There are two sizes: one roughly 5 1/2" long. The other five are 4 1/2" long. While the larger one looks like it might have tangled with a trophy fish(or deadhead! the smaller lures were wrapped in their original paper from the tackle shop.
