David Bradley Gas powered Walk Behind Tractor 1950's - C2 restoration
This DAVID BRADLEY tractor is from an estate. We haven't the time or facilities to restore it ourselves but with some attention this will make an interesting addition to a collection of vintage implements! We have successfully tried the tractor as a walking unpowered machine and it works OK- The engine gets compression when pulled. The movement seems very smooth. I am not able to start it as it gets no spark- therefore we sell it as'as is' and without guarantee or warranty. Buyer to pick up.

This saw is unique in that the bar mounts as shown in the conventional position or about 3-1/2 inches over toward the center of the saw. Bar length as measured to bumper spike or case: is 18 inches Compression is about 90 PSI Has spark Chain and bar are in good condition. Bar has some rust but no heavy corrosion. chain spins freely and is not seized Should be a good restoration candidate We did not test run it. This is a Very Nice Original Continental AU8 David Bradley Engine. This is a Extremely Hard To Find Engine! Everything on engine seems to be in very Good condition for age! Engine Model AU85 127.450. I am also including the tractor tag model 917-57597. I only ran engine for a couple minutes and it seemed to run pretty good with no smoke. Carb will probably need adjusting. Engine has been on my shelf for several years and I put a gas line on and if fired right up! Engine seems to run with no smoke. I will include a standard muffler also. Thread are fine for muffler! I have a lot of antique David Bradley implements. David Bradley tractor, and a spare parts tractor without engine. I have cultivators, disc plows, and other implements. All are in working order. A couple disks have a rust hole in them otherwise everything is in good shape. The tractor has compression and turns over. It will need the fuel line and float bowl. This is a blast from the past-I spent sometime getting it back too running cleaned fuel system and new battery. It started up and been running good ever since its old and not sure of the model or any of that kind of info. It starts really well and seems too be driving and running correctly. The motor is OLD briggs and Stratton model 19 and motor is worth what reserve is set at and overall pretty good shape. The rear tires are aged but holding air and fronts are in good condition. It turns over freely and it does have spark( it got me as I was turning it over) it also has compression( it feels like it to me) It looks pretty complete to me other than the choke cable was cut off and the oil fill cap is gone. It has some different cap on it and a wood shim( see pictures) It does have surface rust on it and it is dirty& greesey. I have never tryed to start this engine. Vintage David Bradley Tractor Sickel Mower Walk Behind Planet Junior Implement
Classic David Bradley Walk Behind Sickel Mower Attachment I have had this for some time in storage. A very good friend of mine gave to me to sell, and so here it is. This is the Original David Bradley walk behind belt driven sickel mower. This assembly is exactly how I received it. For the most part it is mostly complete as shown. I had this same brand many years ago, and these units do work great! This assembly is well over 50+ years old it does have some issues that I will tell you to the best of my knowledge from what I did find. This is sold for clearly restoration or a parts unit only. Please see all pictures. My finger is pointing at areas that I am mentioning of.On this sickel. The center cutting bar. Whoever used it lastly has a piece of wood for a bushing lower center point a bolt or something coming up out of it, wire wrapped half ... morehazardly around to hold everything together, beleive it or not it does operate, reminds me of grand pap field fast fix, I seen many of times? was this in the depression, kidding here. Next area. One of the rock guard end is broken off, and one sickel blade is missing off the bar, probably for the reason of the broken rock guard, they removed it and continued mowing? Moving on up from the bar head. The front center left steel structure panel,in front, to face front panel, there is a stress crack there right on the welds. Now to the pulley drive. The clutch actuating lever on the bracket is missing a pin, which will align up correctly to operate it. Now as far as operation bearings, bushings, cross shaft everything turns moves freely, bar bearings ect. Drive Pulley is fully intact, nothing cracked or bent on it, not belt worn badly either. The sickel. Bar I took some angle shots, looks fairly straight, no drag at all. These items mentioned are all going to need attention of.Check out the decal still somewhat there. Neat! This assembly has all of the signs of it age. It can be restored gone over and surely can be used once again no question, that though is all left up
