David Bradley Milkier Description This is a David Bradley milkier db is there trade mark. It measures about 16” across& over all height is about 13 ½” There are no milkier hoes or ends and this weighs about 17 lbs by itself. It is in fair condition. This is stainless steel and it does have scratches. We do not know if the controls in the lid works for we have no way to test it. It might need to be rebuilt. There are no major dents we feel that it would still be usable with a good cleaning, there are some rust spots that need to be cleaned up, but nothing major. This engine was manufactured in 1955(according to the flywheel) and was on a David Bradley Roto Spader model 785.50410. The engine did turn over with compression and had spark but wasn't tested beyond that. The cylinder has very little marking, the whole unit appears to be used but not abused. The previous owner was an elderly gentleman that passed on so this probably sat in a shed for a while. I am in the process of parting out this entire engine and tiller assembly. If there is a specific part/measurement you would like, feel free to message me! I do not have a parts cleaner nor the time to clean all parts by hand. I purchased this engine at the auction at the Bradley show last year. I spoke with the owner who worked on the assembly line and his father was a engineer. He was not sure what they used it on! He told me that it was a experimental engine basically test engine for something. Engine has spark and seems to have some compression. I did not run engine but I don't think is would take much to get going. There were several big db collectors there that can attest to the fact this came from a engineer at the David Bradley Plant. Look at gas tank has db red on it and muffler hold down also has the red. The cable and throttle lever also are David Bradley. Cable is aprox 50 inches long. The outline of the db sticker on front of shroud is still there and the model 500 tag is also there. This is a model u briggs engine.
