Hello. here we have a nice. Old David Bradley chainsaw. I have it listed as"For parts or not working" even though it does run. Click on the link below to see a video of it in operation, you may need to cut and paste the link into your browser) I've listed it as"For parts or not working" because eBay's description of"Used" states that an item is fully functional and works as intended and I sure don't know if this saw is"fully" functional or if it works as David Bradley intended it to. What I do know is that all I've done to the saw is clean out the fuel tank and carburetor. Replace the leather friction washers in the starter and it fired right up. It appears that it's had very little use based on the overall condition. This is the piston. Rings, wrist pin, connecting rod and oil slinger off of a Briggs& Stratton Model: 6B S Type: 901047 Serial: 51848. This engine was manufactured in 1955(according to the flywheel) and was on a David Bradley Roto Spader model 785.50410. The engine did turn over with compression and had spark but wasn't tested beyond that. The cylinder has very little marking, the whole unit appears to be used but not abused. The previous owner was an elderly gentleman that passed on so this probably sat in a shed for a while. I am in the process of parting out this entire engine and tiller assembly. If there is a specific part/measurement you would like, feel free to message me! I do not have a parts cleaner nor the time to clean all parts by hand. At the request of the customer we replaced it with the current engine that is seen in the pictures. Right after the customer paid for the repair(15 years ago) they passed away and never used it with the new engine we installed. By weird luck. Or fate, the family members of the owner became customers of our current repair shop, asked if we wanted to buy this tractor not knowing we were the ones that last touched it 15 years ago! As can be seen in the pictures. There are new belts, new battery, and you can see where we had to cut out the air filter cover to make the hood fit correctly. What cannot be seen that we did was put new bearings in the main drive belt idler pulley, lubricated the reverse drive idler pulley bearing, greased ALL fittings and corrected the gearbox fluid level. We want to be clear that we are not vintage tractor restorers. We have performed a general tune. Clean, and inspection prior to listing this for sale. Rototiller Roto tiller David Bradley Antique
This is for my"antique" fabulous rototiller that I've had since I was a boy. I bought it used when I was perhaps 15 so lets just say it's probably at least 50 years old. This is a GREAT tiller. It has a briggs engine and it just works. I had it in my basement for at least 2 years and I just took it out. Added gas, and it started! It takes a number of pulls, and smokes like crazy as it burns off the oil in the muffler, but then it clears up in about 1 minute and off it goes. If you are looking for a working tiller this is great. It will easily handle a home garden. It is 20" wide. If you are looking for a collector item, this thing is very clean and original. SEARS 1950's DAVID BRADLEY WALK BEHIND GARDEN TRACTOR for RESTORATION or USE
This listing is for a David Bradley walk behind garden tractor sold by Sears probably in the early 1950's. This unit is perfect for restoration which has been started; the hood has no dents and has been refinished by a body shop in Harvester Red. The rest was repainted red by a previous owner some time ago. We could not read the model number. Think the last three digits look 138 but not sure. The engine and gas tank are not original. Should function well to use as is. The engine and clutch turn free but has not been started recently. Has 550/16 Goodyear tires on 5 hole rims; the right tire does have some cracks but is still functional. Starter rope and handle are included. The gas cap is missing. USA bidders only. Instructions, photos. 8.5 by 11 inches with 14 pages printed on heavy duty paper. Despite what others sell this as, it is a reproduction of the original manual. I bought several of these at an Indiana tractor show probably 20 years ago. I use one in the shop so I don't mess up the original in my collection. 2 front wheels and tires off a some kind of Sears or David Bradley lawn and garden tractor. Look at the pictures and decide if they're what you need. The tire size is 4.80.4.00-8. They are both Goodyear. The tires are cracked. The axle hole is 3-3/8" long by 3/4" dia. They probably need new bushings. There is no guaranty on these items. No reserve. PayPal only.
