Here's an original speed control knob. Indicator pointer sleeve, and correct tiny setscrews for the Edison Triumph or Concert cylinder phonograph. It is in weathered condition, with some nickel plating loss and some surface rust, but could easily be replated to new condition. The screw threads and pointer are in great shape. It came off a nice Triumph B that was stored poorly and thus got a bit more weathered over the decades than we'd like. So I'm reluctantly parting it out. This is a nice vintage used Jaquet K-OS speed indicator/chronometer/tachometer. It is certainly not new. And has seen its fair share of use. I picked this up at a yard sale a while back(because it looked neat) but I really don't need it or know that much about it. However, here's what I can tell you: Comes with the 5 attachments pictured(1 of those is missing the rubber insert) Rubber edge on disc has a flat spot/few nicks on it. But is still usable. Comes with 2 tubes/vials. One is a needle oiler. While the other is a tiny dropper. Turret has adjustable speed ranges/detents on it: 60-240. 200-800, 600-2400, 2000-8000, and 6000-24,000. Dial has no cover/lens on it. I'm not sure if this is normal or not. I'm not entirely sure how this thing operates. I did not test it fully. But it did work when I used it check my drill's ... morespeed. Case is kind of raggedy. But gives it a nice vintage look. This item will be received AS-IS. What you see is exactly what you will get. Offering this rare antique 1922 patent tachometer. Speed indicator in it's original hardwood fitted box/case! The body of the tool is marked"LBS 748 BROWN& SHARPE MFG. CO. PROVIDENCE R.I. U.S.A. PATENTED NOV.28.1922" On the same side as this marking is a knurled thumb wheel in the center, this is used to reset true 0 before you begin a measurement. The front side has two measurement windows on the dial, and is designed to read up to 5,000 rpm, and all lower speeds as well. Metal container is 10" x 6" filled with all different sizes of speed hex wrenches. There is also 1 Ekland set up to 3/16. The indicator is 2-1/2 diameter and the face has started to yellow. The dial does work but does tend to stick sometimes and should be rebuilt if possible. The reamer is 7' long and reads"Angle Blades" Chadwick& Trefethen Inc. Portsmouth, NH. The L.S. Sarrett No. 107 Registering Speed Indicater was devised to automatically register 100ths as well as units and tens. In 1905 a new one in a box cost $3.00 and in a leatherette case(like this one) cost $3.50. That was quite a lot of money back then. This one comes in the box as well as the case. Of which is in great shape as you can see from the pictures. It is in good used vintage condition, but could use a good cleaning. This item comes with everything you see in the pictures. The metal is not rusted where the paint has flaked. I think the metal is zinc plate. Or zinc coated. Zinc is traditionally used for weather vanes. Included is the original 9½” x 7”x 2” dovetail wood case(with slide in lid) A 3” x ¾” brass/lead disk, a 65” steel cable(with brass disk pin) and an 40” extension cable. It has a few scrapes but appears to had had very little( if any) sea duty. I have been dealing in nautical items for many years and this is the first one I have seen. I would guess that these devises were not very successful and very few were sold. Because this 4½ pound nautical artifact is so unique and rare. It would be a great item to include in your collection and should appreciate in value. 2- 1978 AURORA AFX 45 OHM VARIABLE HAND CONTROLLER SPEED INDICATOR & QUIKEE PLUG
This is for a set of 2 aurora afx ho scale 45 ohm variable controller with speed indicator and quikee plug. The boxes have a few tears and dents. These are as is, I have no ideal if they work or not, one controller has a few marks on each side of handle and the other has a couple on one side and marks from where a rubber band dried up on top of handle and left marks from being removed, I tried to get pictures of these for you as seen.
