VG-G Starrett 2-32 inside micrometer set. The larger set seems to be complete but the smaller set 2-8" is missing the 1/2" spacer that can be made or purchased from Starrett or ebay. Also no adjustment wrench. The case also has a strong older smell to it. Other than that this is an older set but still functional. The micrometer heads move fine. This set just needs calibrated and oiled. Thanks!

It spins freely and the 0-1" rod zero's out on a surface plate right on the money. I didn't check the other rods. That will be up to the winner to do. It is super clean, there are no engravings on it and it shines beautifull y. The other 5 rods are clean. And a couple look like they may have never been used. Over a year ago we purchased a group of vintage tools from a Tool& Die Estate Sale. I will be listing several boxes of tools from this Estate Sale and must tell you I do not know anything about these tools except for the fact we were told the man took very good care of his tools and have been told by men that have used tools like these- that all the tools we purchased are in good condition and are very desirable tools. I have had to spend hours researching in order to understand what the tools are and will give you the information on the tools themselves. These tools are being sold AS PURCHASED- no return. Any man that is familiar with the tools will know the purpose for which they were made and understand using the tools. I do not and can not answer questions other than what you can see in pictures and my description with information ... morefrom the tools themselves. This tool looks in very good condition. To have been used- it is not covered with a lot of soil nor rust. SEVEN metal cylinders that measure 6" approx 2 1/4" approx 3 1/4" approx. 4 1/4" approx 5 1/4" approx. 6 1/4" there is one in the Micrometer itself that measures 1 1/4" I have listed two of the cylinders at 6 1/4 inches- one is heavier and has an approx. 2 inch diamond textured end. The Micrometer spins very, very easily- reads LS STARRETT CO. ATHOL MASS, USA NO. 124. It is covered with numbers under the Starrett Name that starts with 0 and go to 20- the part that extends has numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. This little Micrometer appears to be in wonderful condition but it is missing one diamond point textured screw. Excellent condition Starrett No 443 depth micrometer set from 0-6" in.001" reso lution. This is the"half base" style which ma kes it easier to get into tight sh oulders& corners. I have one myself and find it i ncredibly useful. The mic is clean& in very good workin g condition. It has spindle lock& ratchet stop. With both functioning& t he spindle turns freely throughout the 1" range. There are no previous owner markings or engravings on it. The rods are all clean& shiny and a coupl e of them look like they were never used(4-5" 5-6" This model uses the.156 dia rods. Which are compatible with the No 445 depth micrometer. It was sitting in a tool box in a shed for decades. Case is in excellent condition. This is a good one you don't want to miss. There has been no attempt to clean or restore this tool.
