This metal base appears to be solid and/or heavy duty. It weighs ... moreapprox. 4 1/4 pounds and it measures approx. 4 1/8" by 3 1/4" by 1 1/8" tall. It has a hole bored through each corner and their is a slotted rod in each of the holes. I am not sure what these are for but you can push them through from either side The affixed post and/or rod(approx. 11/16" round) reads Brown& Sharpe Mfg. Co. 733. and it measures approx. 8" in over-all length. The rod the indicator is attached to has a sliding piece on it. The approx. 5/16" round rod measures approx. 9 3/8" in over-all length. The round indicator measures approx. 2 3/16" round. both dials appear to be functional when the lever is pushed and released. It reads 0-001" Brown& Sharpe England MB216. The plastic cover has scratching. These items have assorted previous owners marks and or assorted numbers hand scribed onto them. These items are in used as found condition. They would benefit from a good cleaning and/or oiling. Pictures are an integral part of my description. Please refer to pictures for added description. My goal is to honestly describe my items.
