Machinist 12 inch/30cm Vernier height gauge in wood case by Verdict
For auction is a cased precision height gauge that I believe dates to the 1970s. It is made by"Verdict" which I am pretty sure is a British company; it has both metric(to 30cm) and American/English(to 12 inches) calibrations. The gauge is in very clean condition. There are some scrapes to the paint on the base but otherwise it is almost new, no engraved initials or other marks of any kind. The wood case(pine I think) has many scratches, dings and scrapes but is structurally sound with no cracks in the wood, and the metal hinges and clasps are in good working order. This is an excellent machinist's tool with plenty of use left in it. I will ship it in a cardboard box with lots of insulation to keep it secure in transit.
