Up for auction to U.S. customers only is a nice old Brown& Sharpe depth gauge in its original wood box. I'm no tool expert so I don't know what all the parts are for. But it seems complete and works fine. The box has wear and a chipped edge, as pictured, and the previous owner inscribed what I'd guess is his name- Holsipple. This is a pair of spair/replacement measuring rods for a Scherr-Tumico depth micrometer. I believe they will also fit some Craftsman depth micrometers that were made by Scherr-Tumico for Craftsman. These two rods are for 3"4" and 4"5" measuring range and each is in excellent condtion. I found it very usefull on occasion to have a spair rod to grind(relieve) to a near point for measuring to the bottom of a concave surface. Look close and ask any questions you have. No returns. Starrett Depth Micrometer No.445 with one extra spindle / shaft.
Folks this still functions like the day I purchased it. This was my go to depth micrometer. I had newer ones but this was my old faithful. It comes with an extra spindle that is a 3"er. It has stickers on it that I will not remove. This was ISO certified twice a year. The tool has been zeroed. However I do not have an extra spanner wrench to send along with it. As I go through my tools if I find one I will be sure to send it along. The machined out of wood captivator will come with it. It's the way I stored it in my tool box. This gave me many years of reliability. It's time for it to meet it's next owner. Good luck in your bidding.

Up for auction is a gently used and babied Starrett Depth Micrometer model 440Z-3RL in original box with original padded case and all accessories as shown. The Zero to one rod has been ground down on the end to measure thread depth on a specific application but is not effected for measurements in normal conditions. All original Starrett Inspection Certificate. Signed, is included. Adjustment Wrench and both rods- 1" to 2" and 2" to 3" that I never used are included. Friction thimble and lock work like new. Original box shows some normal edge wear. Case is excellent with no issues. Ultra clean. A great tool that just needs a deserving new home. No disappointments in this wonderful tool that I no longer need. Buy it and enjoy.

This is a model 515. Or five inch wide base depth Gage. Measures from 0 to three inches deep. Depending which rod you select. Has one inch of travel. The knurled ring on the barrel can lock the pin in place. The orange card claims this feature is patented and found in no other depth gage. This was printed in 1926. I suspect this box to be made of walnut. But that is only a guess. This was made nearby in Saginaw Mi. Walnuts grow here and would be a natural choice to use back then for a nice tool box.
