This listing is for(2) vintage machinist tools. 1) Brown& Sharpe combination bevel#500. The main blade has a 45 degree angle. And the secondary blade has a 30 degree on one end and a 60 degree on the other. The tool is 100% complete and functional. The knurled knobs tighten with ease. There is some pitting or patina beginning on this tool. NOTHING MAJOR. A little sandpaper would revitalize it. Also no engravings from the previous owner. See picture) A very handy, versatile tool. And second is a Starrett adjustable square with locking mechanism. It also has no user engraving or markings on it. Fully extended it measures 3"x3 1/2" Almost no patina on this one. This Brown& Sharpe Mfg. Combination Square Set was my dad's. When he got out of the army in 1945 it was part of a tool kit given to him by the government to begin his journeyman machinist apprenticeship in Kansas City. Where he worked for 40+ years. I will be listing many of his machinist tools in the near future. As far as I can tell. All four pieces of this set are intact and in working order. It includes a 12" Tempered Steel#4 Gage Rule. Steel Square Head. Center Head with Bubble Leveler& Reversible Protractor. Original box is cool but it does have a lot of wear and tear. As was the practice for tradesmen back in the day to keep their tools identified, my dad lightly etched his initials in some of the pieces. The square is in very good used condition. The level vial in the square head in functional and clear. The scribe is missing. The original black wrinkle finish is about 90% present on either head. A few nicks here and there. NO OWNER ENGRAVINGS/ETCHINGS. An excellent,accurate, antique precision square ready to use or collect! I would grade this a solid 7 on a 1-10 scale with 10 being new.
