Brown&Sharpe 12" Steel Rule w/ Starrett Protractor/Square/Center Finder
Up for bid is a Brown and Sharp 12" steel rule with increments of 8ths. 16ths, 32nds and 64ths. Included with the rule is a marked Starrett protractor, unmarked Starrett center finder and a square that could be Starrett but i'm not so sure. It still has the removable scribe and the green spirit level is intact and working. The rule has some pitting and discoloration from age but can still be read quite easily. The attachments are a but dusty/dirty with discoloration on the unpainted parts but still work just fine.

Brown& Sharpe- 558- Cylindrical Square- EXCELLENT CONDITION This item is in excellent condition with no damage or wear to the unit. As shown in the photos. There is a small engraving on the top end of the cylinder that reads"No 117 Diablo" Otherwise, this square looks brand new and is a fully calibrated master square. This model sold for over $800 when purchased brand new. The following details/features have been extracted from information supplied by Brown& Sharpe: Indicates"out of squareness" of work piece in units of 0.0002" without the use of transfer tools. A true cylinder with one end lapped perfectly square and the other end lappped to a fixed angular relation with the sides. With the angular end down and the base of the cylinder in contact with the part to be checked. The square is rotated until light ... moreis shut out. Reading the topmost dotted curve in contact with the part to the number at the top of the cylinder shows the relative"out-of-squareness" of the item. The same reading may be obtained from 2 places on the circumference of the square. Thus the instrument is self-checking. With the square end down. Brown& Sharpe 6" bevelled edge master square model 542. This item is in great condition. I listed it as used but I have owned it new and my guess is I have used it only a couple of times. The edges still have that sharp grind feel with no scratches or nicks. From several years of storage even lightly oiled a few surface rust spots have formed. The largest being shown in the closeup photo. I'm sure a light rub with some Naval Jelly will cleanup these few areas. When I purchased this item it came in a Brown& Sharpe cardboard box so there is not the usual wood case included in this auction.

MITUTOYO 4 pc. COMBINATION SET For sale I have a used but in good condition Mitutoyo 4pc. Combination Set. These pieces are all hardened. The set comes with a Brown& Sharpe 12" Scale- model 599-9400-1208-1. It measures in 32nd's& 64th's on one side and 10th's(100) and 100th's(010) on the other side. Two things worth noting- it does not come with the scribe. Also. One of the tightening screws is missing a washer type piece that goes on below the nut, but it still tightens fine without it. I took close up pictures of the one without it and one with it- for reference purposes. There are a few marks here and there on the pieces. But overall the set is in very good condition. Shipping is $6.00 for 50 states. Will ship within two days after payment is received.
