Unusual JOLLE Auto or Bike? Old Style Tire Valve Stem Core Tie Clip Bar Clasp
Thanks to a helpful eBayer. I now know what the item is on the tie clip, it's a tire valve stem core. My husband is a tie guy and wears one everyday and sometimes with a tie clasp but we do not know what or who this one represents. The last picture shows me pushing in the pin or piston which compresses the spring. When released, the pin returns to its original position. The clasp is made by JOLLE and is marked as such. Length is just under 1 3/4 inches and width is 1/4 inch. The gold tone metal is bright and shiny with a very few fine marks or scratches from being rarely worn. The clip is sturdy and closes firmly. FINE VINTAGE U.S. QMC WWII ARMY JEEP HAND TIRE AIR PUMP MODEL T STYLE, WORKS OK!
Up for auction in its original FOUND condition. Is a very cool old WWII era tire hand pump, with a wooden T style handle, bottom(base) is made out of cast iron. This base/bottom plate have the embossed letters(US QMC) on the top side. Pump still works, pump air with good pressure when you hold your finger over the end that screws on to the tire valve stem. It has the T style wooden handle, there is a hair line crack in both ends of the wooden handle( but where the cracks are,I do not think that it will brake) picture shows the bigger crack in the wooden handle. The red rubber hose is 24" long with has a brass screw on thing that screws on to the tire valve stem( threads look good on the inside) Pump body is made of metal and was painted black, but most of the black paint is scratched/worn off, there is some surface rust, but no rust ... morepitting or dents in the pump body. Pump is 21" long when the handle is pushed down and 38" long with the handle extended. The cast iron embossed bottom/base plate is 7" long, 2" wide. There is nothing broken or repaired that I can see. Looks complete, but please view all pictures. A great old piece for your WW2 collection or for a old WW2 army jeep restoration. When I got the pump it was covered with a lot of dust and dirt, so I did wipe to off with a rag that had some linseed oil on it. The vast majority of my items are used, vintage or antique and usually all have previously been enjoyed with normal wear from being handled, so please view all pictures because they are part of the description and for additional condition. Thanks for looking. Up for grabs is a vintage Pre-War Trap Style rear Bicycle Rack for balloon tire bicycles such as Schwinn. Columbia, Shelby, ETC. Top of Rack measures approximately 19.5 inches in total length(13 inches for the rack and 6.5 inches for the area that attaches to the bicycle) and 7 inches wide. Side bars that attach to the back wheel are approximately 16.5 inches in length. Rack is very old and has surface rust throughout All hinged areas move freely Rack does have some areas that have some bends to the metal due to use.
