This is a 1972 Clark C500-40 forklift with a 4000 lb lift capacity. It has a 152 inch lift and a 70 inch mast clearance. The roll cage is 83 inches tall that is removable. Clark CF 20 Mini Forklift Truck Vintage 1967 LP/Cushion Tires similar to Clipper
Vintage Clark Forklift Model CF 20 from 1967. This unit is mostly original. The data plate shows"G" which is gas. Yet this model is LP. It was probably converted by a Clark dealer shortly after it was delivered in 1967, although there is no gas gauge and the gas tank doesn't look like it was ever used. Original Clark green paint and stickers. There is some slight rust, although the unit was stored inside. The key switch and starter is on the left side near the Hobbs hour meter which shows 3026. Lift and tilt cylinders work fine, slight presence of hydraulic oil on the cylinders, which is typical for trucks this age. It has a high and low shifter, which works fine. The engine starts right up and runs nicely. All the gauges work. The battery is new. The brakes work although the brake pedal is low when it stops. The tires are hard ... morecushion/smooth type for concrete and asphalt surfaces and in good shape. The seat is ripped and needs repair/replacement(it appears to be the original frame and material) Included is a 30 gal propane cylinder and the protective cage. This would be a perfect truck for a small garage/ workshop or a restoration project. The truck is located in Charlottesville, VA. These forklifts are extremely hard to find in this shape. Forklift, S/N C138MB-0182-6220FA. This unit is in excellent operating condition throughout. It is powered by a very strong GM 3.0 Liter In-Line Four(4) Cylinder OHV LPG Motor(one great engine) and a strong single speed. Forward and reverse, automatic transmission. The mast is a two(2) stage. Full see-through, measuring 94" in the lowered position and the forks will lift to a maximum height of 146" This forklift is really. Really ... morenice. The front tires are good at 60% and the rear tires are also good at 70% The width of this units is 42" and the overall length is 83" plus the fork length. The overall height measures 94" from the floor to the top of the mast. It weighs approx. 7.600# This forklift came out of service about three weeks ago. The company it came from(a small mold shop) used it about 3 times per week for about 30 minutes. This forklift was serviced regularly and anything found to be wrong was repaired immediately with Genuine Clark OEM parts. The hour meter on this forklifts shows only 1964 total hours. We suspect the hour meter is not correct. Like I said, they really took good care of this forklift. This forklift has a two(2) headlights, and an in-operation light. If you are in need of a forklift of this size and capability. Take a real good look here.
