Classic 7' Bamboo Fly Rod by Charles Grove, Maker 2/2 With Bag And Aluminum Tube
I have not been able to find out anything about Charles Grove. The maker. This 7 foot, 2 piece, 2 tip rod is beautifully designed and executed. The cork cigar grip tapers to a cork reel seat with two sliding rings. The cork has no chips or gouges. Both tip sections are 3/4" longer than the butt section, looks like the rod may have been built that way. All sections are essentially straight. The ferrules are"popping" tight. The female ferrule on the butt has a soldered ring welt. The stripper guide has an artificial agate liner. The snake guides are pristine, with transparent wraps. The rod is designed to cast a 4 weight line. I have not put a line on it but in flexing it feels like a good dry fly rod. This rod is in excellent condition. It comes with a cloth bag in a good quality aluminum tube.

vintage H-I "spinner" Split-Bamboo Fly Rod, 3 pieces, tube, Horrocks
Exact item shown. This is a bamboo fly rod that assembles in 3 pieces. I weighed the three pieces on my postal scale. It weighs 5.4 ounces. Each piece is 35 inches long. Near the handle there is a decal with H-I and a fish, and another decal that says"Spinner" The cardboard tube is black. Steel ends, good condition. The rod is in a greenish fabric bag with separate compartments for each rod component. I don't know anything about fly fishing. I have tried to describe the rod carefully, I see no damage, no wear, no stains, etc. There is some darkening of the cork handle from holding it, and a little wear on one edge of the decal, othewise to me it looks absolutely like new. Up for auction is a Vintage Goodwin Granger Aristocrat 9' fly rod with original metal storage tube. The handle is marked: PAT APR.12.1938. PAT.NO.2.114.107, MADE BY GOODWIN GRANGER COMPANY DENVER. Cork handle does have some damage as shown in the images. The rod sections, eyes, and wrappings are all in very good condition. No cracks, bends, or other damage is visible. The auction includes four sections of fly rod. Canvas carry case, and metal storage tube. The metal tube has paint missing, and handling marks. There are no large or deep dents in the tube. Vintage Fly Fishing Rod/Fenwick FF85 8-1/2' 3 3/4 OZ w/tube Super condition
Offering a super Fenwick Feralite. Model FF85, 8-1/2 ft, 2 pc, 3-3/4 oz. fiberglass fly rod with the original aluminum carrying case. The cloth case is gone. The rod is in exceptional shape. The eyes have no damage and the wrapping is in great shape. The cork handle has never had a hook in it and is damage free. The feral attaches well and holds nicely. The action is live. The line rating tag is still on the rod but I couldn't upload enough pictures to show everything. My guess is made in very late 50's or early 60's. Defininely before mid 1963 as that was the year the 5 digit zip code came out and Fenwick's address doesn't have that.only Long Beach 4, California. Considering that, this rod is at least 50 years old but looks like it was manufactured last week except the line rating tag is slightly loose and needs regluing ... moreon the top edge. That's not bad for a 50 year old rod. There is a dent or two in the aluminum case as can be seen in picture 11. The serviceability is in no way impaired. Feralite had not yet been patented when this rod was made as it says patent pending behind the word Feralite. Serial number is C 16723. Exceptional piece but I am downsizing and can't tramp the streams as I once did so here's a nice opportunity to own agreat rod. Low start. No reserve, and 14 day return privilege so bid with confidence and the assurance that I want you to be 100% pleased with your purchase. Was a friends gandpas, i don't know the age of the split bambo fly rod. the Butt piece is about 38-1/2" the middle section is the same as the butt. One of the tips is 34-1/4 inches& the other tip is 31-1/2 inches. Also has 2 canvas storage socks, one for the tip sections& one holds all pieces including aluminum brass tube tip container, tube about 39 inches. The pieces have not been put together in a long time, i put one piece one a little bit and it was to tight to completely slide on because a grease like protective lubricant has waxed up. so i decided not to put the rest of the rod together& allow the new owner of this rod to clean the fittings& re-lubricate the fittings, Thus i cannot tell you the ... moreassembled length of the rod. i pulled the piece back apart of course& the good popping sound was heard when i seperated them, this is good, it looks to me like all the pieces fitting will clean up nicely& fit snuggly after proper work. This is a 3/2 rod with two tips, the Original Bag& Red Aluminum Storage Tube. There is no writing or markings on the shaft above the cork handle. The Brass reel lock nut is marked"Patent 1807078" The two lower sections are mostly straight, but not perfectly straight. The heavy tip has a slight set and the light tip has a more pronounced set. All ferrules and wraps look sound& tight and the finish on all sections is glossy& smooth. The cork handle shows some patina from use, but has no serious chips or chunks missing. The only other notable defect is the plastic reel holder section does not fit tightly in the cork handle. It moves a bit and ... moremay need to be repaired for a tighter fit. The cloth bag is coming apart somewhat at one end and is held together with masking tape. The aluminum tube has many small dents& scratches. But is straight and the end cap screws on tightly. Note that our camera's lens sometimes makes long objects look bent- most of the bends/curves seen in the photo's of the rod are due to that and are NOT the slight bends/set in the various rod sections mentioned in the description. The rod was designed by Charles Ritz and the taper reflects Ritz's High Speed/High Line casting philosophy. The rod is marked Ritz Variopower HS/HL 7' 1" 2m 16 Pezon et Michel. It carries the serial number 223686 and the tips are marked 1 and 2 respectively. The butt cap shows a typical Pezon stamp that reads PEZON ET MICHEL PARIS AMBOISE. The rod weighs 3-5/8 ounces. It comes with its original ... more3 compartment bag and Pezon tube including the tube cover with Pezon badge. The original 17" bamboo ferrule piece is also included. The fiberglass butt section measuring approximately 2'11" and the bamboo tip sections are about 4'2" There is a Ritz style cork grip and down locking reel mounting hardware with a hooded butt cap. Also. There is a fixed hook keeper just above the grip check and signature Tricolor silk wraps above the hook keeper. The rod is in fine condition showing only very light signs of use. It appears to be completely original with no signs of any repairs at all. The wraps are all complete and the guides sound. Ferrules fit properly and sections are full length and straight. The finish is quite fine. And the fiberglass and bamboo are free from any hook digs. One can only see a few tiny nicks to the bottom of the butt cap and some fading of the finish on the mounting hardware. The bag and tube are also in fine condition showing no damage at all. This Fenwick comes with the sleeve and aluminum Fenwick tube. This is a 3 piece and is 9' long. The rod reads AFTMA FLY LINE NO. 6-7. There is a serial numb er below the Fenwick logo of G 95358. Cortland PFR 2000 5pc fly rod in great shape. This is a fiberglass rod with tip over butt ferrules. Likely made by St Croix for Cortland. All 5 pieces same length. On rod says"Cortland madi in USA PFR 2000 7'1-650-1 Recommended For Line 6 Rod Weight 3 oz" Come with tube, I suspect the one end cap is not original, and a sock. Tube has some tape goo on it. Rod is wonderful, with very slight soiling to grip, does have previous owners name nicely engraved into reel seat(see photo) I have used this rod here in NW Montana and can assure you it works well and has good fish mojo! You are bidding on an older model Lamiglass G1286-8. Series 1000, Graphite, Back Packer fly fishing rod with its original rod tube. Made in the USA this is a 4 piece. 8’ rod that is rated for 6 wt. line. The rod is in very good condition with the exception of the third piece that is 1” shorter than the other three pieces and seems to have suffered some damage to the male end of the piece. It still fits snugly into the ferrule and the rod still measures 8” but it doesn’t seem correct to me. Please look closely at the picture. The rest of the rod is completely original and has all of its original guides in their original wrappings. Its original hook holder, clean cork handles and an unmarked Lamiglass reel seat. Heddon Pal Mark IV Fiberglass Fly Rod. 2pc, script on rod hard to read(somebody has rotten handwritting) but says something like Fas-Tip Action, then the line rating, B, GBG, GAF" which is 8wt, DT8, and WF9 I think. Has cool spring loaded reel seat that works well. I have used this rod here in NW Montana with a 9wt line for pike and bull trout and can assure you it has good fishy mojo! Comes with G Loomis tube and sock. Rod is overall in good used shape, with normal scratches etc. Wraps and guides all solid. Cork is starting to ridge and wear a bit. Ferrule fits securely. This is a Nor-vise fly tying system in very good condition in the folding field storage case which also acts as a mounting board. It currently has the tube fly conversion kit on it and it also includes the original small in-line jaws. It has all of the original paperwork and setup instructions and it has one bobbin with it. It has been used very little and is in great shape with only a handful of small scuffs in the finish from being put in and out of the case. I never use this and am trying to clear out some stuff so I am starting this at $99 with no reserve even though it is worth a lot more than that. Let's have ourselves an auction! Montague-Redwing Split Bamboo Fly Rod w/Tube - Medium Trout
I'm the first to admit I know nothing about fishing rods except when I found this one I knew it was special! This is the information I could find online with identical items: Vintage. 1936 Pre-War Montague Trout Redwing Split Bamboo Fly Rod Four sections- The butt. Mid and two tips. All sections are very straight and measure under 36-1/2" long. Making this rod a 9'er. The model number is illegible on the case(see pictures) I believe this rod would grade an easy near mint condition with no visible wear. The tube is marked"Medium Trout" Comes with original bag and steel tube. The tube does show wear and is dented. This is one fine piece of cane. Showing some of Montague's very best work with bamboo. This is really one sweet rod to collect or fish with!
