This reel is in great shape and has only minor blemishes. Does not appear to have gotten very much use. The most significant blemish is a ding on the outside of the spool(see photos. It is in great working order. We don't know a lot about this series of reels but have done some research. The reel was made in Argentina- probably in the 80's. It has a click and pawl drag with an adjustment knob. It is a sturdy reel that would be good for trout or larger species of fish. We have read that it is designated for use with 7/8/9 weight lines. Great condition islander reel MR2 - Salmon Mooching fly Reel
This is a barely used perfect condition MR2-salmon mooching reel. I received it as a birthday present a year ago but I never get out on a boat to use it and could put the money toward something better. This reel has no major cosmetic damage and works perfectly. It has caught me some nice salmon and lingcod in Canada and would be a great reel for anyone doing jigging or trolling.

The rod is mint. The reel is a Pfleuger 1990 9-10 wt. Features include mid size arbor design. Cold forged and machined aluminum frame and spool, oversized ball bearing, rosewood knob, and uni-lok roller clutch bearing. It is also mint and has backing and Cabelas 10 wt. prestige fly line spooled which i will include. The reel also has a protective cover. The only thing that is blemished about the reel is the box. It has a little damage from being stored empty.

I believe I purchased the reel new in 2009 and it has seen rather limited action. There are light scratches around the edges, but overall it's not all that bad. No real damage other than cosmetics. I tried to take pics of all the scratches. Foot is fine. Drag works and tightens/loosens progressively. It is stored with the drag released. Currently set up for left hand retrieve, but is easily converted to right had retrieve if you so desire. Very Rare Fin-Nor Prototype Tycoon#2 Fly Reel This reel though used is in very good condition. It has had only one owner who used this reel for personal use only. The reel is a prototype and has no markings except for the stamped#2 designating the size. This prototype became the Tycoon series reel and only a handful of prototypes were made. I have two of them for auction. Reel is in good working order and has very minor blemishes from use. But in incredible condition. Original box and reel cover included. Shipping via USPS includes handling. Caveat emptor, no returns.
