The plumes are hand stitched to wires and may have been part of an old costume(head dress. Wings etc) The colors are great for making jigs-bright red& white. I have left the feathers on the wires for easy transport-they are held in place so they don't get bent up or damaged. You will need to cut the feathers off the wires for outdoor sporting or crafting. This sale is a beautiful vintage lounging robe or swim suit coverup in Black Lace with Marabou feathers at the bottom of hem(single row) and arms(double row) It is shown over a yellow polka dot bikini(sorry. It has been sold) but this will give you an indication of just how sexy this garment is. The feathers are soft and supple and are not shedding overly much. The dress is definately an over the head on and off deal, as the only opening is at the back of the neck with a snap closure. Reminds me of a dress I saw one season on Carrie in Sex and the City- it was sheer too. But without the feathers- I think it was ... morethe Playboy mansion episode. The straps on this dress are embellished with beautiful rhinestone clips with all stones intact. NOW lets talk about the bottom. The Marabou feather trim on the bottom of this skirt is LUSH! Silk faced boudoir doll flapper faced lingerie case marabou feathers 1920"
I have had this in my boudoir doll collection for ages. It is so pretty and unusual. Boudoir doll faces were used on everything in the 1920's. This lingerie case is adorned with the cutest flapper doll face. She is silk and hand painted with turquoise eyes to match the silk ribbon trim. Platinum blonde mohair peeks out from her ribbon hat, The tiny face is only about 2" tall by 1 1/2" wide. The case is lush pink marabou feathers in what I believe is the original box. Case measures 9 1/2" by 7 1/2 the back and insides are pink satin. it ties with blue silk ribbons. The box is a bit torn and shabby. No smoking home. Ask questions. No returns. USA only. Up for grabs is this vintage 1940's lingerie robe. This longsleeved yellow semi sheer robe has yellow marabou feather trim on the cuffs. Hem, and down the front. This has no closures but would look great belted. It has built in shoulderpads. The measurements are 15" ... moreshoulder seam, 20" sleeve length, 36" long, 38" chest, and 40" waist. Condition- This robe is in good condition with some slight discoloration on the shoulder seam and a few tiny holes. A few of the feathers break and fall off when it is moved but the feathers don't seem brittle. I accept Paypal. Buyer to pay all shipping costs. I will combined shipping on multiple purchases. I mail using Priority Mail and have delivery confirmation on all packages. Please keep in mind that you are purchasing a vintage/used item unless otherwise stated. Expect typical wear to items including pulls. Loose threads, balling, etc. I will include any noticeable damages or stains. Some of the items may have been pinned back on the mannequin for a better fit. Please check the measurements for an accurate fit. I will not refund due to fit. Coat measurements are taken from outside the garment, so please add room for layers of clothing. This items color might look different in person due to my lighting and camera.
