Estimated 1930's- 1940's circa. It measures 3 1/2" outside diameter. 1 1/2" tall when laid flat and the glass is a rich ruby red that is about 1/8" thick and in excellent condition. I call this a fresnel or textured lens as you can see the 3 dimensional texture on the inside of lens which adds contrast& brightness to the overall effect of the nicely reversed embossed lettering. Offering a SUPER RARE Gangway for Passengers/ No Exit sign. It is double sided and made of porcelain. The seller said he was told it was from the Titanic. I doubt if that is true but it is quite a rare item. Do not miss your chance to own it. The sign is 26" by 11" by 2 1/2" Including mount it is 27 1/2" by 14" by 2 1/2" It weighs 24 pounds. The last two photos show that at one time you could loosen bolt and turn it 180 degrees to change the direction. The bolt is now rusted and new owner can remove if they choose. No reserve! Pair Vintage Cinema 1930's Movie Theater Exit Sign Lights Art Deco
For your consideration is this great pair of vintage movie theater Exit Sign Lights. This is a fabulous pair of lights. The steel has aged to a super patina giving lots of great character. The lights are wired and do work, they take a 7.5 watt nightlight bulb. The lights measure 5" in diameter and stand 3" out from the wall. The porcelian sockets are in great condition and there are not any chips or breaks in the ruby red glass shades. As pictured ther are a few litle marks in the white lettering and some small dots in the glass between the E and theX in the 9th pictures, which looks like little bubbles on the glass from the factory. RARE Antique Vintage LIGHTED EXIT SIGN From Movie Theater - WORKING!
Up for grabs is this awesome vintage lighted exit sign/ wall sconce! I have not been able to find a single one like it on the web! It looks and feels to be Bakelite/ Lucite. I do not know the history of this sign's origin. But I believe it is from a theater. The exit letters look to have been painted on Lucite. There are minor surface scratches on the surface and on the paint, but overall it looks great! This piece takes a regular lamp light bulb. And may have been modified at one point to take a regular light bulb, I am not sure. I apologize for the dust in the picture when looking down where you screw in the light bulb, I should have cleaned it out. You can also see in one of the pictures that there is a small hole so you can mount this piece to a wall or doorway. Please note that the light actually gives of a deep red glow rather than ... morewhat is seen in the picture where it is lit up. It does not give off a bright yellow. Also as you can see in the last picture where the sign is laying down, someone used a little electrical tape to hold the cord in place properly, I'm guessing that's what it is for. This is how the piece was when I bought it, I'm not sure what happens if you remove the tape. All in all this is a really cool piece of decor that any collector or decorator will be happy receiving! This is a replacement Thick Glass Globe only. There is no fixture or mounting frame. This is an old original made by perfeclite. It is wedge shape with the red EXIT pyro on both sides. The end that mounts to the fixture is 6 3/4" wide and 7 1/4" tall. This looks to have been used, There are no cracks or breaks, there are a few tiny fleabites along the mounting edge, nothing that will be seen and may even be from factory since they are along the mold edge. Please note most of my items are in used condition) so they will have some wear and tear- Item description- On offer today I have a EXIT wall light which came out of a cinema many years hence. The glass is red with the front being cut out of some sort of metal or tin, please note there is no electrical fittings inside this unit- I am unsure too it's age. Item condition- This item is in sound condition with some wear and tear in keeping with it's age and being used. I have for auction this vintage art deco exit sign. It is made of white glass with red lettering. The exit letters are in very nice condition. With almost no red missing. there is no major scratches. There is no cracks. There is no repairs. There is no chips in the glass. The glass rim is not chipped either. There is some minor roughness; but no chips. The light socket is intact. The outside end of the light socket is threaded and is ready to screw on to a 3/4' diameter threaded electrical pipe(conduit) The dimension of the glass sign; the glass is 7' tall it is 6 1/4' wide at the back end. This fabulous old 1930s(or earlier) rare 16 1/4" by 9 3/8" theater exit sign from a midwest estate is made of thick red glass in a brass frame and is in excellent condition as shown. I am not sure of the technique used to create this sign.possibly acid cut.like cameo glass. There is a tiny nick on one corner on the back of the glass as shown. This is a used antique. Single sided EXIT wall light sign. The inside label reads, Wheeler Reflector Co. Boston Mass, but it is peeling off some. It measures 14x7x4. It is made of galvanized metal with one sided glass, red background and white letters. There are no defects in the glass.
