Very good vintage pair of Crouse-Hinds explosion proof light fixtures. Inside the fixture looks like VX8 10 3174-G? The small junction boxes read VXF 20. The glass is chip and crack free. The glass is 5 3/8" in diameter x 9" long. The glass screws in and out of the threaded fixture without any trouble. The small boxes are 4 1/2" across x 1 5/8" deep. Overall the fixtures are 12 1/2" long w/the glass screwed in. There is some old silicon caulk around parts of the fixtures. Each fixture w/ small box weighs about 6 pounds. Vintage Crouse Hinds Industrial Flood Spot Light Glass Lens - Working Condition
Here is a vintage Crouse Hinds Flood or Spot Light. This was tested at the time of purchase and worked fine. The diameter across the front of the light measures 15" Crouse Hinds is marked on the light in a couple of places. At some point. Looks like someone spray painted this lamp a light blue color and there are some paint splatters on the lens. The lens is marked but I cannot read it all- looks like it say KOPP though. Light measures about 17" in height, not including the additional rotating bracket. Cover is held in place with three separate clip/screw brackets and one of these is missing the clip/screw. Another light I know nothing about. All I can tell you is it is close to 11" high. And is very heavy and strong. It is marked on the bottom, sides, and even the original blue glass inside is marked Crouse Hinds Made in USA. Light my other light listed, you have to tell me what to add. Like the mine light, must be a trick to open it cuz I could not figure out how to get the glass out. It needs cleaned, and does have a couple places with surface rust, bu see not pitting, and surely is strong.
