And I found mention of this edition in some public libraries. Fabulous diagrams throughout show various generators. Sockets, street lights, and of course Edison-era incandescent bulbs of every sort. Really beautiful illustrations, and obviously an in-depth discussion of the topic. Great for the steampunk, industrial, electrical-engineer geek in your life. Condition is fair- though good. Direct Current Dynamos and Motors for Incandescent Electric Lighting and Power Service" This brochure measures about 6 by 9 inches. And consists of 16 pages, not including the covers. The last 2 pages are blank. It describes DC generators from 1125 to 60 kw. And motors from 1/8 to 80 hp. It also describes DC crane motors from 2 to 20 hp. It contains 5 illustrations and 3 tables. This brochure is complete. Without tears, cutouts, or writing, but the covers have some significant silverfish damage, and some staining. They must have liked the flavor. The inner pages have some minor water stains along the edges. The staples are rusty and ... morehave caused some very minor stains. Marked on filler cap and on bottom. 11 inch tall Acme glass shade chimney has no cracks but small chips and fleabites to 4 1/2 inch diameter fitter. Several small dents and one solder repair to font.
