Vintage Crouse Hinds Industrial Flood Spot Light Glass Lens - Working Condition
Here is a vintage Crouse Hinds Flood or Spot Light. This was tested at the time of purchase and worked fine. The diameter across the front of the light measures 15" Crouse Hinds is marked on the light in a couple of places. At some point. Looks like someone spray painted this lamp a light blue color and there are some paint splatters on the lens. The lens is marked but I cannot read it all- looks like it say KOPP though. Light measures about 17" in height, not including the additional rotating bracket. Cover is held in place with three separate clip/screw brackets and one of these is missing the clip/screw. Up for bid is a Crouse-Hinds#1103-1000 Cast Aluminum exterior all-weather scene lamp. This lamp casting was made by Revere Electric Mfg. Co and is in great shape. The cast aluminum surface has ano damage and should serve the next owner quite well wether installed inside our outside. I was going to use it on my upcoming garage project but. I'm going to try and put it out for a new owner. The bulb socket is in good shape-however there is some minor staining on the mirrored reflector which I believe may polish off. Either way-this is a great light and the girlfriend coined it the"alien" light due to its appearance. Tempered glass is the eyeball on this alien and its in great shape as is the rubber gasket. Mounting is meant to be on a 2-1/2" pipe/post. This is a beautiful retro vintage Crouse Hinds industrial explosion proof light. The body is all cast aluminum. And with the conduit weighs about 14 pounds! VERY heavy duty. And would look great in a garage, man shed, steampunk etc. Condition is excellent. Some scratches. Oxidation, minor rust in the light socket section, some wear to base of conduit, says" condulet" on the bottom part of base) will need to be rewired. Polishing in corners of base not finished, but overall looks great. No damage to explosion proof glass. The red emblem is not shown. But is also in great shape, and is included along with the two original screws, which have also been polished. Buyer to pay for shipping based on zip code. If the shipping costs less than you paid based on my guessed weight. The extra will be refunded to you. I have two more of these ... morelights that are not polished. only one has a conduit.
