Maybe punched 100 holes in aluminum, just been sitting ever since so I thought I would sell it. These come new with a 1/2 punch and die. The square gauge table is optional, around 150 bucks, new now I think these run around 1500 bucks without the gauge table. Roper Whitney didn't paint these very well. Basically just sprayed some enamel right over the black mill scale that is on hot roll steel. So some of the paint now is flaking off as you can see, blowing the dust off with an air hose didn't help the paint either. I bought this new and even have the user and parts manual with it. Also the eccentrics are very tight on this one so the handle doesn't ... moredrop down on your head. There is all kinds of standard punches and dies available for these. Square, slotted, oblong, keyslot, corner radius, retangular. Etc etc, Great bench punch especially if your doing aircraft sheet metal or race car work. This is a TRD 6 ton pneumatic press model BTP-501. This press actually uses a three rod cylinder so the ram presses with a precise uniform pressure. I would consider the press to be in great condition both cosmetically and mechanically. There are no issues to speak of. The machine is fully assembled and mounted on a table with all of the fittings and hardware required to make it run. It also comes with a table top mounted double pull safety switch so I think its ready for osha safety inspections. The beauty of this machine is that it is purely pneumatic so it is relatively light and takes up much less space than a hydraulic press. It only needs an air compressor to run. The press was used for setting inserts but has thousands of applications. It can be used for anything from punching steel to setting bearings.
