DAMAGED- PEXTO Deep Throat Bead Roller / Sheet Metal Rotary Machine
I didn't notice the crack in the cast iron housing until I looked at the photos posted on listing! I am going to sell it anyhow. PRICE LOWERED! I will add a closeup photo of crack but you can see it in the other pics. Machine may work OK as is for light duty use or could possibly be welded by a pro. Please take crack into consideration when bidding. There are 3 misc rollers that do fit but I don't think they match each other. Shafts accept 5/8" hole rollers on the end part and 15/16" on the bigger part. Also, I do NOT have a crank for this, the lugs are 1/2" square where crank fits. Pexto Bead Roller for sheet metal. The unit with the brass nameplate dates from late 1800's. The other one is newer model but for parts only. The pictured unit has a patent date of 1867. The pictured unit turns freely and the adjustment features all work. Massive cast iron bench universal mount holder has large diameter grip pad on the end of the clamp screw for secure attachment. Bead roller Niagra Peck Stow Pexto
Hi. I picked this up with the intentions of using the parts to make a bead roller. Lets face it! I have an old truck I want to restore as well. Due to other commitments I have racked up an astonishing 4.5 hrs over 4+ years. Making a heavy duty bead roller to replace my 3 functioning ones is probably not going to happen. I am not sure who made the machine the only marking is an NO3 cast in the top. It is very heavy though 60 lbs. The housing on the bottom is cracked and looks like it was repaired at some time in the past. The top casting is also repaired but seems to have held but if used. For how long? who knows. The machine does function in that the levers move and the rollers roll with some effort. The base is in good shape though. If you win it and do not want to pay to ship the broken casting then I would be happy to disassemble the lower ... morefor you and put the parts in a box with the rest of the machine less the broken lower casting. Shipping will be expensive. This machine is big and heavy(60lbs) So the winning bidder is to pay actual shipping costs. If the shipping is over the estimated then I will refund $.
