All of these Tools came from an older gentleman who made tractor sheet metal, fenders and hoods. He also made sheet metal for Model A and T Ford's, and Studebaker's from the 1920's. This is a Pexto model 0581. Serial 10/53. The bottom roll seems to be frozen. Or the gear is broke or? Its in nice shape, it just doesn't work, but it does come with its stand, which is a Pexto 975. Roper Whitney Pexto rollformer I got from an HVAC buddy in trade for some work I did for him about 20 years ago. He had several and I needed one. Good trade. Now I am out of the metal trade and figure someone else could use this. He carried it around in his service van for years before that. Has"contractor specific paint job" to color match with his other equipment. And so paint looks pretty shabby. Roller handle held together with electrical tape, but unit works well despite appearance. This rollformer has only the rolls shown. For crimping. You would have to find other rolls yourself. Price is for pick up at my location. I can make a small crate/pallet to ship this but you will have to arrange shipping. Won't fit in Priority Mail boxes. Even dismantled, so gonna be a little pricey to ship. Old PEXTO hand operated pliers grip sheeet metal/ stove pipe crimper which make a flute d pattern has wear but still works. Unsure of age. Possibly 1930 era +/ I used a soup can lid to show what pattern the tool makes. The tip of dog that drives the rollers has wear but still operates, The spring pin that returns the plier to open position works but when fully open may come out of the socket and one tooth worn on the drive roller but they can be switched. Needs cleaning. This would be nice collectible tool for a collector or collection. Any questions please ask. Selling as is.
