Communications Technologies Brick Oscillator 1 GHz for 1296 2304 MHz transverter
This is a really handy brick oscillator designed to operate at 1093.5 MHz. It requires an external reference signal through a female SMA connector. RF output is also a female SMA. The really nice thing about this brick is that it operates on +15 VDC. There is an LED on the end by the connectors and power connections that turns on to indicate lock. Moving this brick to 1152 I would think would be very simple but I did not try it out. The brick looks to be in very condition but has definitely been used. You might even be able to build a dual band transverter system using this one brick. Switch between two crystal oscillators. One at 96 MHz for 1152(+144 = 1296) or 2160 using a 90 MHz for 2304. Again, I did not try this but I would think it possible. You would also need to switch the output of the brick between the 1296 transverter and a frequency ... moredoubler to get the 2160 MHz for 2304. Maybe a bit complicated but you could make a nice little contest dual band rover station. I do combine shipping when practical. Please see my other auctions for more great items. The unit was made for navy as a frequency standard and it has a connector with seven pins and six coaxial outputs. The unit has a fine and coarse adjustment for frequency and a switch with three position: 1. Int/Comp 2.Ext Normal Ext(Oven ST BY) 3. 5 MHz Osc Source. Characteristics: A1= 500khz output A2= 500khz output A3= 1 MHZ output A4= 5Mhz input( not needed except when the module is switched to the compare mode via an external 10-9th standard AN/URQ10 series) A5= 10Mhz output A6= 5 mhz output(the real reason for this module) P1= +20vdc P2= Ground P3= +28vdc P4.5,6,7 spares, not used. This standard was rated at 1 part in 10-8th per day. It was normally not used internally with this unit but had an ... moreexternal 5mhz standard which was used most of the time which was the 10-9th a factor of 10 better than the internal standard. This was the mainstay of the navy. The R-1051B and the air force had the C model. Unbelievably complicated and weighs 90 lbs for a solid state unit. However, they are still in use today! Requires a well-regulated +15 VDC supply at about 0.4 A. The spectrum analyzer(at 1 MHz/div) cables, and attenuators are not included in this auction.
