Each of the units that we have in stock is individually callibrated and has marked on the label the exact difference from 10MHz calibrated at an ambient temperature of 25 degrees C: e.g. 0.3Hz or-2.9Hz(see) Beneath the screw on one side of the module is the slot for trimming the output frequency. What you will receive is a fully tested and adjusted RFG RB 10Mhz rubidium frequency standard with a power cord. All you have to do is plug the unit into 100-240VAC. Wait a few minutes and you’re ready to use the highly stable and accurate 10Mhz output to connect to your counter, synthesizer, etc. to replace the so-so internal oscillator that are in most commercial units. These modified Lucent(AT&T) RFG rubidium frequency standards have 2 outputs of 10Mhz. The first is a buffered square wave that is connected to both an SMA connector marked“TP” and a BNC connector marked“J1” that are wired in parallel and this output must be terminated with 50Ω to preserve the waveform and prevent ringing. The second output is a clean sine wave connected to two SMA connectors marked“J2” and“OUT” and to a BNC connector marked“J4” All wired in parallel, ... moreand this output can drive at least 2 volts peak into a 50Ω load. The attached A.C. power supply outputs 24VDC regulated at 2A. After the unit reaches operating temperature the current drawn drops to about 0.5A. When the RFG is first powered up the“TP” and“J1” connectors will have a square wave output but it takes about 3 minutes for the Efratom rubidium oscillator to lock. Until the RFG locks. After about an hour the RFG will approach its maximum accuracy of a few parts in 10 to the-11, typically within +/00005Hz. Most have fairly long leads like the one shown being measured by test equipment. I chose the one with the shortest leads for the closeup picture of the back side. I tested three. And they all behave the same: At cold start, the unit draws about 320 mA to quickly heat it up; after 30 seconds the current drops to 11 mA and at 50 seconds it servos until finally settling to about 66 mA. The frequency error was: cold start: 18 ppm 30 seconds: 9 ppm 60 seconds: 1.7 ppm 120 seconds: 0.2 ppm 180 seconds: 0.1 ppm(spec) The control voltage is 5v to get the specifiec frequency. The frequency can be pulled a few ppm low or high by adjusting the control voltage from 0 to 10v. I don't know what the high end is for the control voltage; for testing I took it to 10v since 5v sets the frequency to specification. Excellent for building a GPS disciplined reference oscillator; or just use it as is for a bench reference since it has a sinewave out. I will test before shipping.

Wenzel Associates 500-19020B 10 MHz OCXO Output type: Sinewave Frequency: 10.000 MHz Supply voltage: 12v The unit is 1 inch square and 0.5 inch high I have two of these which were pulled from working PCBs. The leads are short. In the picture you see grabber clips on the leads for testing. It was tricky to get the clips to stay on some of the leads. But I was able to do so. I didn't see the model number of Wenzel's web site, but they look similar to the ONYX series, so I copies the pinout diagram from that webpage(the pinout is the same) There is a sixth pin on these units, but I would guess that it's a test pin(I did not have to connect it for the unit to function properly) The power after warmup matches the spec of the ONYX parts(12v at 92mA = 1.1 watts) I looked at the output on a scope and it is sinewave. When first powered ... moreon at room temperature. The unit draws about 260mA with a 12v supply. After about one minute the current starts dropping. After about two minues the current draw is under 100mA. Pin 3 is a tuning voltage(Vc) I adjusted this to get better than 0.01 ppm for the picture. You will get one of the two parts in the picture(the one connected to the test equipment. Or the one standing on end) Both have been tested. Unit with code 7457-0825. Vc=4.34v to get frequency better than 0.01ppm referenced to rubidium frequency reference after warmup. Unit with code 7472-0825. Vc=4.12v to get frequency better than 0.01ppm referenced to rubidium frequency reference after warmup. These were found amoung some other OXCOs(Raltron) which I know to be 0.1ppm over temperature(different eBay auction) But I do not know the temperature stability of these Wenzel parts.

It has been thoroughly tested by our engineer and is guaranteed to be in fine working order and very good cosmetic condition with little sign of use. As shown in the photos. Only the Corning Vectron 4859 SMOCXO Crystal Oscillator is included in this auction. No other cables. Devices, or accessories. From Our engineer: We do not have an exact match between the part number on the oscillators and the part numbering detail on the data sheet to determine the temperature coefficient of these oscillators. These oscillators are of high enough accuracy that significant performance improvement is seen when the complete oscillator package is installed in an thermal insulating enclosure to improve thermal stability. For our bench testing we installed the oscillator between two layers of closed ... morecell packing foam. After a two hour warmup time. The oscillator was then tuned with the use of an external DC voltage standard to the frequency of our Rubidium frequency standard. And the first photo of the frequency counter was taken. Then one hour latter the second photo was taken to show drift from the first reading. Note that the frequency stability is directly affected by ANY changes in the +5.00 VDC supply.
