What you will receive is a fully tested and adjusted RFG RB 10Mhz rubidium frequency standard with a power cord. All you have to do is plug the unit into 100-240VAC. Wait a few minutes and you’re ready to use the highly stable and accurate 10Mhz output to connect to your counter, synthesizer, etc. to replace the so-so internal oscillator that are in most commercial units. These modified Lucent(AT&T) RFG rubidium frequency standards have 2 outputs of 10Mhz. The first is a buffered square wave that is connected to both an SMA connector marked“TP” and a BNC connector marked“J1” that are wired in parallel and this output must be terminated with 50Ω to preserve the waveform and prevent ringing. The second output is a clean sine wave connected to two SMA connectors marked“J2” and“OUT” and to a BNC connector marked“J4” All wired in parallel, ... moreand this output can drive at least 2 volts peak into a 50Ω load. The attached A.C. power supply outputs 24VDC regulated at 2A. After the unit reaches operating temperature the current drawn drops to about 0.5A.
