This unit has a few options installed: 7(520MHz Prescaler) 15 IEEE-488 Interface, and 16(Rear Panel Inputs) This item is in good used condition. It shows some marks from use and storage. However there are no major damages to the unit, and no damages that affect its operation. The SEP-COM switch that is between the A& B input channels is sticky and difficult to slide and may need to be replaced. Also, whomever performed the last calibration on this unit managed to put everything back in the chassis backwards, so the handle does not line up with the feet to make a stable stand. This unit has been checked for operability in our warehouse. It was able to detect and read a waveform that was generated by an uncalibrated ... morewaveform generator. The frequency was then checked by another counter to make sure they were reading the same. Which they were. Please see photos for more details. Vintage Racal Electronics 801M 125MHz Frequency Counter Vintage nixie tube 8 digit counter. Haven't used this in the lab for several years. But even though rated at 125 MHz, counts fine to 140+ MHz with no problem. Contains a very high spec Sultzer designed/ Tracor ovened frequency standard, which still has remarkable retrace after long periods of power down. Fan has been cleaned/ relubricated and one nixie tube replaced, with a spare supplied as well. Calibrated against the lab gps frequency standard, in good working order and should be good for years of service. This counter shows Racal Electronics at the peak of their game. Circa 1974, an all discrete component design with not an ic in sight. If you look at the second photo, circular pattern pc tracks at the bottom left of the main board, you see what looks like a Johnson 5 stage shift ... moreregister/ ring counter, which was a common technique used to get the speed. This oscilloscope is a parts unit. The high voltage flyback transformer was removed to use an another LeCroy scope. The display board may also have other problems. The mother board may also have problems. The low voltage power supplies are good and the unit draws about 150 Watts from the 115VAC line. The front panel and rear panel are physically clean. As I remember. Rest of the oscilloscope including the sweep board, the FFT board, the vertical amplifier boards, the front panel board, the CRT board, and the CRT all work.
