This is an early 1900s National Stoves. Ranges, and Furnaces(Excelsior Stove& Mfg. Co. of Quincy, Illinois) Notepad. It measures 2 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches. And has 24 internal pages. The inner pages have been pulled loose from the stapled binding. Depicted are the front and back covers, the inside front and back covers, and 2 inside pages. The inner 24 pages have 4 pages of stove ads, and the remaining 20 pages are graph-type paper and have no writing. It appears that the reason the inner pages came loose is that they were stapled into the book about a quarter of an inch lower than they should have been. The stoves depicted are the Natrola National, National Combination Ranges, National Warm Air Furnaces, Oakland National, National Stoves and Ranges, Newart National, and Excel National. Rare Old Aboriginal Shield- Flinder Ranges Figurative incised decoration depicting men in ceremonial attire. These were made by the Adyamathanya people mostly at Nepabunna community in the far north of the Flinders Ranges and are part of an important early handicraft movement. Collected by a South Australian Railways worker who was based at Port Augusta from the late 1940's to the early 1960's. I would say this was made in the 1930's. M easures 410mm long.
