1975 Pizza Hut Electric Baking Oven Toy Playset in Original Box by Coleco-Works!
Here's a great Pizza Hut collectible from 1975. It's the Pizza Hut Electric Baking Oven by Coleco. This is sort of an Easy Bake Oven with Pizza Hut styling. Like the Easy Bake oven. The idea was to"bake" a small pizza using a light bulb for heat. This oven still works fine- the light bulb(a standard 60-watt bulb) comes on immediately and heats up the oven, which is made of plastic. Three's a red plastic roof which attaches to the top of the oven, making it look like a Pizza Hut restaurant. The original Pizza Hut mascot, an old-fashioned pizza baker, is pictured on the roof. This mascot also appears on an 11" plastic sign with the Pizza Hut restaurant logo at the top. There are no directions in the box, although there is a brochure advertising Pizza Hut restaurants which probably came inside the box. The box is in ... moregood condition for its age, with no writing, rips, or holes, although there's some wear along the edges and at the corners. The top area of the box, especially on one side, is a bit wrinkled; however, both sides of the box are identical, and this box would display very nicely if the wrinkled side is in the back. The pizza dough mix and the sauce mix packets are missing; the"pizza paddle, two pizza pans, and the measuring spoon are also missing. Except for the dough and sauce mix packets, all of the missing items are generic- all of the custom Pizza Hut items(the oven, the sign, and the original box) are included. This is Product#7350. This toy is used, and shows some minor wear from use, but there are no broken or damaged pieces here, although the Pizza Hut decal on the roof is starting to lift up a bit.
