Vintage Dominion Chrome Fancy Waffle Maker Griddle Panini Press Model 1251
This auction is for a Dominon Waffle Iron. It is in very good working condition. I cleaned it up and made a batch of waffles(mine were gluten-free almond meal waffles so yours may turn out a bit thicker with regular flours) and the plates are very non-stick. The only area that stuck a bit was the front edges where my batter overflowed a bit. I used a cup of batter. I have no book but waffle makers are fairly simple. There is a light on the top. Plug it in and pre-heat until the light turns on. On the right edge is a slide control. There used to be graduated lines on there with light. Med, dark and grill. The bottom of the control is the lowest heat setting and the very top is the hottest, the setting you use when you switch the plates over to the flat griddle plates. When you have them turned over like this you can make pancakes and grilled ... moresandwiches. Because of the floating-type hinges you can even make pressed Panini sandwiches with it and the weight of the griddle itself makes wonderful pressed sandwiches. There is a couple very light scratches on the grill plates. They look almost unused. The waffle plates are of a beautiful, decorative design. There is a small amount of darkening in some of the edges of the designs but it is clean. Only clean with scrubbers mean for Teflon to avoid removing the non-stick surface. I am not sure what the surface is made of as I don't have a book. The stainless steel/chrome surface is in very good condition. There are no dents or damage, just some minor mars from normal cleaning and use. I have taken a lot of pictures. Please view them on my Photobucket album by clicking this link.
