This fine piece brings a distinguished sense of history. Culture, and sparkle to the table. Apparently. It was important to have a fancy way to warm eggs back then. This one holds 3. This piece is so unusual! The eagle on top is a surprise. This ornate egg warmer has three pawed feet with scrolling at the bottom. I do not see any dents on the body. A small one underneath the base. There is silverplate loss on the lid. The business was established in Sheffield in 1845 by George Walker. Becoming an assistant of Dr. John Wright who had conducted important experiments on electroplating Walker secured the royalty of electroplating for Sheffield. Antique Coffee Pot Warmer - Everhot Brand - w/Original Cord - Hot Plate - Toledo
This is an antique coffee pot warmer. At least that is what it would be used for today. Also called a hot plate. I purchased this item at an estate sale. When I plugged it into an electrical socket. The ceramic and wound wire center grid began to heat up and felt warm to the touch. The electrical cord and plug look to be the originals. The ceramic grid measures 5 inches in diameter. The warmer stands 4.5 inches high. Note. It stands on three legs. The warmer appears to be complete. Even the Bakelite bumpers on the bottom of each leg are intact. It needs a thorough cleaning. Plus the chrome exterior is surface-rusted as you can see in the photos. The only brand name I could find on this item is the word Everhot stamped into the ceramic center. Using the legalforce website I found that Everhot was a brand of a company in Toledo. Ohio, named ... moreSWARTZBAUGH MANUFACTURING COMPANY. GREAT QUALITY GEORGIAN ENGLISH STERLING SILVER DISH/PLATE CROSS WARMER 1790 Presented is a fantastic Georgian English sterling silver dish cross or dish warmer. This piece dates to 1790. The dish cross is done in a very traditional and classical style. The arms and feet of the dish cross are adjustable. To accommodate a wide variety of sizes of dish. The center of the dish cross has a removable burner with wick, to keep the food in the dish warm. This is a very solidly constructed piece of antique English silver, and would be an asset to any collection. This piece is hallmarked on the underside with the lion passant for sterling silver. The leopard's head crowned for the city of London, the date letter p for 1790, the King George III head duty mark, and the maker's ... moremark for George Smith. Both of the arms and all four feet of the cross are also hallmarked with the lion passant. This piece is in excellent overall condition. We suspect the burner is not original. Antique Triple Silver Plate Tilting Coffee Pot With Warmer
For sale is a Roger& Bros Triple Plate. 1920, tilting coffee pot with an oil warmer incorporated into the base. The photos are very representative of the item. I would describe it as great condition with normal usage marks in the silver. Aside from the brand marks on the bottom of the pot and base it has a letter embossed on the back of the pot. I think it may be a capital"D" but I'm not fully certain of the font, please see the photo. When the pot is sitting in the base it measure approximately 14 inches high, the base is approximately 8" wide. There is a mark on the inside of the bottom of the pot, I assume it is from the flame of the oil warmer. This tea warmer/brewer is circa 1885-1903. The urn was made by Barker Brothers of Birmingham England. The piece appears to have been used extensively as there is scratching on the base of the burner unit and a very small dimple dent in the lid. The whistle top is a little coated with water deposits. The spigot is tight and functional. The alcohol burner is in good condition. The hing on the alcohol burner snuff lid is in good condition. All the parts are there for a complete. Functional tea pot warmer/brewer.

We really did look everywhere but could not see a name or a number. We assume it is silverplate because it does tarnish and the tarnish rubs off with soft cloth. We tested it all over with a magnet and nothing attracts the several magnets we tried. Not the pan, the lid, the legs, the stand or the warmer piece with wick. It is sturdy and substantial and has a good heft. The overall piece weighs a little over 5.5 pounds. Very nice vintage to antique serving tureen/warmer. Made by Pairpoit MFG.Co. in New Bedford Mass. Marked to the bottom. This quadruple silver plate tureen consist of 3 pieces. The bowl, where I believe was kept hot water(there are traces of marks inside) to keep serving food warm, the removable rim to hold the plate or bowl with the food and a lid. The tureen edge to edge, without handles, measures 9 1/2" in diameter, the opening to place a bowl in is 8" in diameter. It stands without lid 2 1/2" high, with the lid on 5 1/2" to the top of the finial. Overall condition very good given normal use for many years. This item is in good condition with some minor cosmetic wear from normal use. There are a few minor scuff marks and scratches on the item but this does not effect the functionality of the item. The function buttons are in good condition. The warmer plate is in good condition with no dents or cracks. The power cable is in good condition as well with no cracks or frayed areas. Please refer to the photos below for more details on the item. This item was plugged in and powered on with no problems. We turned the dial up to the max and let it sit for 10 minutes. We used a digital thermometer to measure the plate temperature and it read 127 degrees Fahrenheit. We are unsure the max temperature the item ... moreis suppose to reach.
