It is over 14 inches in total diameter, with cooking surface of about 12 inches. It has a depth of about 1/2 inch from the top of the outer rim to the cooking surface. What a great estate sale find! Here we have a great looking heavy duty cast iron low 7-Well Vintage Pancake/Biscuit/Pancake Pan. No markings on it but. It is in very good vintage condition with no cracks or warping, no baked-on grime, no rust or oxidation. It has been lightly cleaned and re-seasoned to prevent rust. It measures approx. 9 1/4" in diameter(add 14 1/2"across with the low curved handle) x 1/2" side high. Each cup is 2 1/2" diameter. There are many different recipes that can be found on the internet. Made In ERIE, Pa, USA good stuff! you can actually wipe it down and start cooking with it immediately after pre heating on your stove! it is pretty much seasoned. If you would like to season it more to give it the overall carbon color, wipe it lightly with a cooking oil and put it in the oven 325 degrees for one hour! This is an old piece that is used, but has no damage. It is flat and is Not warped. This griddle is interesting, in that it is flat on one side and ribbed on the other side, please see all pics. Measures 26 inches long by 12 inches wide. This griddle has been thoroughly cleaned and lightly oiled, so it is ready for use or display. I've done all the hard work so you don't have to. The griddle carries the Griswold pattern number 736 and also has a letter A to the right of the number 6 and a casting pit left of and below the 736. Both the A and the casting pit have been identified on Erie skillets as pattern maker's marks. I have seen Erie skillets that have both pattern maker's marks and pattern numbers on the same skillet. That is probably the case with this griddle. The griddle sits flat, and has a flat cooking surface with some minor shallow pitting. There is no rust and there are no repairs. Cracks, chips or pits.
