Vintage Williams Vulcan No. 1 Extra Heavy Duty Service C-Clamps 1-1/4" capacity
For auction is a lot of Two(2) Vintage Williams Vulcan No. 1 Extra Heavy Duty Service C-Clamps. These clamps have a maximum clamping capacity of 1-1/4" x approximately 1-1/8" deep to the center of the screw. The clamp pictured on top in the first photo is in very good condition and is fully functional. There is evidence of normal use for this type of industrial duty clamp but no significant damage or excessive wear. The other clamp has been used and abused. There are weld and/or grinder marks. A previous owners initials punched into the steel and the screw has been cut off. Despite the abuse and damage, this second extra heavy duty clamp is still quite useable. Most of the items I sell are from estate sales. Auctions, flea markets, etc. I clean them as necessary to properly evaluate the condition and allow you to judge the actual ... moreitem rather than a previous owner’s dirt. J.H. Williams & CO. Vulcan Heavy Service C - clamp Marked No. 4 FORGED C-CLAMP
This is a J. H. Williams and Co. Drop forged Vulcan No. 4 Heavy Service Clamp. It is 9" O.A.L. and has a clamping range of 2-1/8" to 4-1/2" This clamp is accompanied by a vintage Williams wrench 15/16" 1-1/16" The 15/16" end is the size for the screw on this clamp. Weight is approx. 10 Lbs. This clamp is used, but freshly sand blasted and painted with black enamel. The wrench has received the same sand blasting, and enamel coating. I even used vintage 30 year old Harley Davidson enamel on these! It is in very good condition considering it's age. The screw was thoroughly cleaned with a brass wire wheel. This clamp can be used for lifting with a hoist, as a poor mans shop press, as a heavy welding clamp, or for a variety of other uses.
