Here we have three nice pairs of machinist's or toolmaker's parallel clamps. The first is a pair of 4 inch clamps by Brown& Sharpe. They are in excellent overall condition. The second pair is made by General and they are 3 inch clamps. They retain their case hardened surfaces and are also excellent. The final pair are made by Starrett. And they are the tiny 2 inch parallel clamps. They are also in excellent overall condition with a couple of tiny grind marks on the side of the tip on one clamp as you see in the photos. Overall condition is great for such a old gently used tools. Jaws are still nice and sharp and adjust open and close normally. No hammer markings from using the tool as a hammer. It has your normal minimal surface rust, scrapes and bruises from all those many years of gentle use. Some of the surface markings, and dirt will clean off but, I will leave that to you. You are bidding on 2 Starrett parallel machinist clamps. They are both marked The L.S. Starrett Co. Athol. Mass. U.S.A. No. 161-A. The length of the jaw is 2" from end to end. Jaw width open is about 1 1/2" They are in excellent condition. I see no names engraved on them. They have the original blued finish. They are not rusted and have seen very little or no use.
