Offered here is a great lot of vintage MACHINIST'S TOOLS: PARALLEL CLAMPS. GROUND TOOL STEEL PARALLEL LAYOUT BARS/BLOCKS, AND 2 STEEL V-BLOCKS FOR HOLDING WORK. All of these tools are clean and in very fine condition. The one pair of clamps measure around 4 inches by 4 inches and open to about 2 inches wide. The other"C" style clamps are marked number"53" and they can clamp up to 3 inches deep by 1 3/8 inch opening. The parallel bars measure 6 inches long and they come in assorted thicknesses and widths. Some discoloration you see on the steel is from oils and handling stains over the years. Not rust or pitting. The v-blocks measure 2 3/16 inches long by 1 5/8 inches wide. This is a nice collection of fine machinist's tools. They are ready for use or display in your fine tool collection. Well we have just taken in a complete Machinist Tool Cart loaded with Model Maker/ Tool Maker fixtures. Measuring equipment, cutters, borescopes etc. We have to empty the top tool box, 2-drawer riser, main roll around base& side drawer hanging cabinet. All keys are with the boxes, all tools are a little aged from sitting but its tool steel so easy to clean up with a little elbow grease. Once the contents are sold the Tool Cart will be listed for auction, LOCAL pick up, but we can deliver to select locations. This stuff is heavy so in most cases we will be using USPS Flat Rate shipping so box size will determine price. We will try to fit as much in a small. Here we have three nice pairs of machinist's or toolmaker's parallel clamps. The first is a pair of 4 inch clamps by Brown& Sharpe. They are in excellent overall condition. The second pair is made by General and they are 3 inch clamps. They retain their case hardened surfaces and are also excellent. The final pair are made by Starrett. And they are the tiny 2 inch parallel clamps. They are also in excellent overall condition with a couple of tiny grind marks on the side of the tip on one clamp as you see in the photos. Overall condition is great for such a old gently used tools. Jaws are still nice and sharp and adjust open and close normally. No hammer markings from using the tool as a hammer. It has your normal minimal surface rust, scrapes and bruises from all those many years of gentle use. Some of the surface markings, and dirt will clean off but, I will leave that to you.
