This is an Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 5500KC3"The Original" casting reel. It is used and fully functional. The reel turns smoothly. The handle and handle knobs rotate cleanly, the line guide moves from side to side the way it should, the drag tightens and loosens, free spool is good, and cast control works fine. There is plenty of wear beginning with saltwater rash on the left inside spool, scratches, Abu Garcia logo fading on left sideplate, a large chipping of metal on the bottom right sideplate near the screw, and metal chips on the top left sideplate. The reel seems to be working good and it spins smoothly and functions properly but hasn't been tested with line. We're selling it as is for parts or repair. The handle was bent and has been restraightened. The decals are scratched, the red color has faded on one side, the metal has several small dings and light scratches. S/N 090116/13.
