Up for grabs is a vintage True Temper 945f bait casting reel. It is stamped USA. It is used and shows some wear but overall is in pretty good condition. It has been in storage for a while so it will probably need some cleaning up. I've done as much to it to clean it up as I could. There are some scratches as shown in the picture. This is a decent old reel that comes with it's original box. Mechanically the reel functions properly but one of the knobs is stiff. Cosmetically the reel is in very good condition with decent graphics and nice plating on the side covers. The reel does show some use with the plating worn from the line guide shield and the plating on the foot is light and exposing the brass base metal. True Temper No. 1925 Trophy Bait Casting Reel. VINTAGE?
Clearing out my fathers estate. Found this bait casting reel. In the original box, even with parts list and diagram. I don't know how old it is, I am guessing it was his when he was a boy. Gotta be 70 years old or more, but just my guess. I have completely cleaned it up, oiled it up, it operates extremely smoothly with the exception of the level wind. There must be a missing tooth on a gear because the level wind will work across and back but gets stuck on the handle side. Little push and it works again. Might be best to just remove the line guide and do it the old fashioned way with your thumb like I did growing up.
