I am offering a Vintage Royal Gift Wrapping Paper Roll Cutter. This is an estate auction item so I am unsure of its age. It is out of cast iron and wood. The bar is marked Royal in the center Patd May 2080 on the left and 18 on the right. It appears to hold an 18" paper roll. It does not have a bar to hold the paper and there is some staining on the bottom wood piece. There is some rust on the screws and they turn a bit hard but both the screws and the nuts are there. Three of the washers are there but one of them is missing. It will be shipped disassembled. When assembled the base is about 22 1/2" x 5 1/2" and the piece stands about 12 1/2" tall. 30" INGENTO MAPLE GUILLOTINE STYLE PAPER CUTTER on Legs Table work Station NICE No need to find a counter big enough to place the cutter as it has a base and legs attached to it to make it a 30" tall work station. The cutting surface is 30" x 31.75" It is is good used condition with some scratches. Scuffs, and other signs of use. The main portion of the base looks to be original to the cutter but there is a couple of boards that have been added to the bottom to make a shelf and to make it more solid. There is also a shelf that has been added to the cutting side just below the blade, I guess to catch scrapes. The shelf will swing out of way when not in use and could easily be removed if desired. The base is sturdy and it really makes for a good works station. The base can be removed from the cutter with a handful of screws ... moreand bolts. The cutter is still in very good working order and cuts just fine! I prefer the cutter be picked up locally as it is very large and requires disassembling for shipping. I am not a expert on these machines so I will say it might need some adjusting to work perfect but it seems to work good to me, I'm just saying that in case it does adjustments that I am not aware of. He used it to roll out lengths of brown craft paper onto his work surface. It is definitely an antique. The condition is excellent. The springs that hold the paper to the roll are in great shape and hold the roll tight. The cutter bar works wonderfully. After he stopped using it. I thought about bringing it in and using it in my crafting room, but I never did. It would probably be very hand to use when wrapping Christmas presents. This is a vintage paper cutter that apparently was in the Pentagon. It's made by advanced machine and manufacturing company and is stamped US property on the bottom. I had a friend tell me that apparently it was in the Pentagon in the 50s and when they moved everything out they sold a bunch of stuff. Up for auction is an old-vintage. Well used MILTON BRADLEY CO. DANDY, PATENTED, SMALL SIZE PAPER CUTTER. It was found at auction so I don't know any history or specific age. I would describe it as being in well-used vintage condition. The greenish top is marred-scarred and has worn edges from use. The wooden ruler has a couple nail holes with the nails missing and one of the five nails in it is a bit crooked so your finger catches on the edge of the nail head. There is no safety latch on the blade. Don't think it's missing. Just never had one. The handle has BRADLEY raised on the outside side. The blade and plate is rusty and could use a polishing-scouring. The BLADE CUTS WELL UP CLOSE TOWARD THE HINGE BUT NOT BACK TOWARD THE HANDLE. Maybe a sharpening or adjustment is needed.
